Tracer 275 Lower Link Mud Clearance

I emailed Intense, but have not heard back yet. I know they are busy recovering from Sea Otter and the beginning of race season...

I have a Tracer 275 and live in the Pacific Northwest. I am having an issue with mud clearance in the lower link area. My trails are muddy (most of the year), rocky and have lots of organic debris. All this gets caught in the lower link area and does not clear without stopping and digging it out. This is effecting the rear suspension as debris gets packed in there the suspension does not extend fully resulting in pedal strikes and funky handling. Anyone else have this issue? It would be awesome if Intense could leverage their in-house fab equipment to re-design the lower link to solve this issue. I would be happy to test prototypes... Hint, hint...

I'm also form the PNW and my Intense Spider Comp has the same issue. Did you ever receive any replies to your question?

This is a common problem with this link area...many people use an old tube and cut it and then zip tie it to the seat tube....Or, you can make a little Fender like this:

I zip tied a piece of foam to the middle section of the vpp trailing arm. It keeps rocks, etc out of the are and I'm sure it work in this application too.

That's pretty slick. Looks like carbon fiber. How is it held in place?
