So what's the point behind the Carbine 275?

Why would someone go with the carbine when the tracer in carbon is available? The tracer's numbers look a bit better.

$1100 difference in the base builds was my reason. The numbers were not different enough for me to pay that much more.

The Carbine is a little steeper HT/quicker handling bike. It's still a VERY good bike and lighter. So it makes a killer trail bike. I bet when the Spider 275 comes out in carbon, the carbine goes away.

The Spider 275 is already on Jenson. Intense Spider 275 Foundation Bike 2015 > Complete Bikes > Mountain Bikes | Jenson USA

I agree that the Carbine will likely go away soon.

I saw a good deal locally for a carbine frame. I checked the numbers and found the Trace makes a bit more sense for me. Fanatik Bike in upstate WA is blowing out Tracer alloy frames but I've got carbon on the brain.

IMO Intense is getting a bit complicated with so many models and designs.

Once they remove the carbine from the line up, things will look simpler I think.

Btw, anyone know frame Palmer was riding in that little promo vid??

The carbine is intense's only bike with wheel size convertible from 26" to 27.5" bike, & a rare thing in today's market. My choice & still running 26" wheels presently. Nice to have options IMO.
