Seat post problem on 6.6 anyone ?

    Hi,
Do any one of you 6.6 owners experiance any trouble lowering the seat post all the way down on the 6.6 ? A friend just got a new 6.6, says the post hardly goes down, so bad the guy is looking for a telescopic seat post...

    Yes, mine was like this.

You need to take it to you bike shop, who will (ream I think it's called) remove some of the material in the seattube.

Mine has improved quite a bit but really needs doing again.

One of the reasons I chose the 6.6 is because it has a "proper" seat tube so I should be able to lower the seatpost all the way.

I had to hone the seat tube some for my post to go down all the way. I am also using the shortest thompson post. Just be careful to not hone the tube too much.

Oh yeah, I had to cut my Easton seat post as well. It was very long at 400mm. I run my post lower than optimal due to back problems anyway. I cut around 50mm off it.

I didn't do any reaming, but after a few months, it got easier to pull and push the post. I can get it down to 1 inch of post showing with a lil bit of body weight
