running 650b fork on a 26" Carbine? short term

Hope you guys can help me

I am running my Intense Carbine in 26", and have been using a 2012 Fox 36 talas.

I would like to upgrade the fork to the new 2014 fox 34 talas, but would like to know if it would be ok to run the a 650b version of the fork using 26" wheels for a lil while, until I get enough cash to the do the whole 650b conversion (wheels, tyres, drop outs etc)?
what impact would this have on the handling of the bike as I am assuming the 650b fork will be taller?

It is going to slack it out .5-1 degree and probably raise the BB .25". You will be fine, but I would tell you to get a Pike instead of the 34. Carbine does not need a Talas either. It is a waste and will make the fork perform worse.
