    Mr. Intense, Intense Single Speed?

Since Mr. Intense is on here. Have you ever considered a single speed? I know you're focused on longer travel FS bikes, so how bout a FS single speed? Its been done before in several ways, of course the problem is chain length without a tensioner. Even if you don't do this how would you approach the problem? Pivot around the BB?

a ss fs won't really work without a concentric bottom bracket pivot and that would not work with VP..

Actually I just snapped my rear D cable so I'm ordering a yess tensioner and converting the old tracer to SS. But I was thinking something like a concentric BB design. Intense doesn't have to have the same suspension design on every bike after all, there is no rule book.

    Intense SS

My wife and I have been racing spider SS for the last 2 years. They make great singlespeeds. I set them up with Paul tensioners and there you go. I have one Ive built up that tips the scales at under 18 lbs and one just a bit burlier. The VPP works surprisingly well. I have never lost a chain!

I have my other bike set up...

I have my other bike set up like the picture with a chain tensioner but it is a hard tail. Will that set up work as a single speed 6.6???. i like try it seems like a super cool setup

    Workaround

I can turn both my hardtail and FS bikes into a SS with just a power of thought! I pick the gear and just don't shift! Works great, and no fuss with a custom tensioner. HIghly advised

Only with some additional weight, poor chainline and temptation to shift. I actually tried this method already before I bought a real SS.
