I bought those two caps in Les Gets in France two weeks ago!

I had never seen it myself! I went into a shop and there was like a box of candy filled with these caps in different colors!

    many tnx.

if you want, this weekend go back in Pds in france, caps are 4€ :-) but would cost more than the shipment of caps...

Hey guys those of you running Saint cranks w/ the MRP G2SL guides on your rigs, how many spaces did you run on the BB? 2 Rt and 1 Left? Just trying to keep from having to remove and re-install BB cups and want to get my rig done. Also, rear drop out washers/shims.. On the inside of the stay to push the drops towards the inside or to push the drop out outward away from each other? Just making sure i have them right since it does not say anything in the owners manual. LOL Thanks for any help or answers!

    Happy Dhing!

    Neon Yellow M9

    Hi all!

I'm sure that most of you have seen this image floating around somewhere else on the interwebs. This shot has been pulled off of the Intense blog. I'd like to hear your opinions on the colour, I think it looks rad! I have seen all sorts of coloured M9's kicking around, this one is pretty damn cool though. I' can't wait to see what it looks like built up.... By the way the raw one is my 'current' M9...

Man i sure hated to read this! Sorry to see that your bike was taken. Hope the thieves end up getting what they deserve! When i was riding at Winter Park (Trestle Bike Park) i was always nervous about leaving my M9 outside the front door without me being with it while i was buying my lift pass. Now I carry a thick cable lock and use it when buying my lift passes and then i leave it locked and coiled on the bike racks until i leave the park or i need to lock it up again for a few mins while i walk inside a store or something. I always try to keep it in sight. I hope you are able to either find it or get you a replacement. Good Luck!!

So sorry to hear about the stolen M9. Every rider's nightmare to have their dream bike stolen.

I built mine up about 2 months ago. I've had it out a handful of times and love it more with every ride. Still playing with the suspension tuning and geometry...

    Neon Yellow Goodies

    Hey all,

It's been a while since I posted up photos of my raw M9 earlier on this page. I also posted up a teaser image of the neon yellow frame that Intense created for some lucky bastard. Well, it is with great pleasure that I am now able to post up this bad boy - The Neon yellow M9 built up in all it's glory. I've only ridden it once and yes, it kinda grabs the eye. The thing almost glows in the dark... I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I'd like to thank Intense for making this possible,

    Spec as follows:
    Full X0 DH
2012 Boxxer WC w/ Keronite finish
    CCDB w/Ti spring
    Atomlab wheelset
    Enve Composites Bar and post

    17.1 kg (37.6lb)

The colour was a special request, I had it done for the Australian Bicycle Trade shows. The colour was also displayed at Eurobike 2011 FYI. Intense were kind enough to help me out on the paint, it is legit flourescent (neon) yellow just like a highlighter marker pen. Unfortunately the camera doesn't portray the actual colour too well, it is extremely hard to get the correct exposure on it! There is a pantone code for it, but I don't remember what it was. I'm glad you like it, the bike has caused a serious stir over here!

    Just ordered a small m9 with a CCDB, coming from a 951 with a RC4.

Where can I find some stock settings? I bought both a 400 and 350lb spring as I'm about 170 with gear.

They are already shipping with the updated linkage. We got our first one about 2 months ago. I just upgraded my linkage, bearings and bolts. the new bolts and bearings are larger

Nope larger bearings and bots. The bolts are the same type used on the T2 so they should not loosen up

Really depends on inseam, torso length & style of riding. I'm 5"10" with long torso & 30" inseam. I often find myself craving a large when my ass is hitting my rear tire on a medium. Cheers!

TT lengths are outdated. The reach measurement is much more accurate. For a Medium, the reach is a lot bigger than say a Turner DHR or most other Mediums that I have ridden.

I am 5'9" and the Medium is a perfect race bike for me.

hopefully i can get them then sooner then later since ive developed a ton of play from that box link. when i installed my new cranks, i pushed on the swingarm from the non-drive side while holding the crank arm and notice the play in the box link/bearing area
We should have the entire new M9 box assemblies, pivot axles, and bearings in stock early next week. Feel free to give us a call or hop on our website to check them out. I should have them on the site by Tuesday/Wednesday under Bikes/Frames>Intense>Spare Parts. Hope we can help you out!

If you bought the frame from us, then we can take care of you free of charge. Otherwise you would need to pay for the new setup.

So i'm curious to know how your M9 with the new bolts and bearings feels, does the rear end still move side to side as much as it did before? Also have you compared your updated M9 with one from the factory to see if they feel the same? Does a V10 have this much side to side movement? I really want to know if I put something in wrong or didn't torque it properly or if this movement is normal?

It should not move. How did you take out the old bearings and put in the new ones?
The only time mine moved side to side with the first setup was when the linkage bolts would loosen up

I Used a punch to punch the old bearings out and then used a home made press, long bolt with washers and a nut to pull the bearings in. All the bearings seemed to seat properly and the hardware screwed together easily. I only torqued the bolts enough to get rid of any play on the new linkage and still allow it to move up and down easily. I pretty much followed Santa Cruz's instructions for tightening the linkage hardware (V10 Bearing Overhaul Instructions).
The old linkage hardware moved side to side for me a little even when things were tightened up and then at the end of every run I'd have to tighten the linkage bolts up to get rid of excessive movement. I expected the new hardware and link to have less side to side movement then the old stuff and mine doesn't, maybe I've installed something wrong...

no, i can snug them up so it is hard to move the link up and down. you can feel the side to side movement when you grab the wheel and wiggle it.

Downplease: Does the rear triangle feel any stiffer after the new box link/axles? Make sure you use plenty of anti seize on the collets otherwise they are difficult to remove.

how do you tighten the pivot axle? is there a space in there for a 6 or 8mm wrench or something?

To me it feels stiffer. When you hold the frame and move the wheel back and forth there is no noticable movement. That wasn't the case before, even when the bolts were freshly tightened.

I went through all the hardware and checked torque to see if I missed something but it is all torqued and seated properly and it feels about the same as it did with the old hardware. i was hoping it would take a lot of the flex out of the rear end but if it does it's not enough that I can tell the difference. thanks for the tip i'll make sure to keep the collets well lubed.

if the bolt loose it self you need to remove the kone "hope it does" and than tighten the bolt and reinstall. the konus...

that "kone" prevents the pivot axle from backing itself out since it helps flair out the pivot axle on the non-drive side.
its what SC and Intense has been using for years on their other bikes. and if it actually does hold the pivot axle in place, i dont see how thats anymore work since you dont have to check your pivot after every ride

You found the rear end flexy?! This and the Tracer 2 are the stiffest Intense bikes I have ridden - very impressed!! I'm not sure I would want it any stiffer when running prebuilt wheels such as Deemax Ultimates (DH) or Easton Havens (xc).

not near my bike at the moment but does anyone know if the two grease ports are threaded or pressed in? when i replace my link setup i want to remove all the grease and then squeeze new lube into the cavity if those zirk fittings are removable. i have a grease gun but it takes forever to fill that whole cavity up.

Does anyone know the actual torque specs from Intense on the new lower pivots?

I just threw the new link on my old SS1. Betterer system IMO. Used the Santa Cruz torque specs but I don't want to assume they are correct before I take it out for a little abuse.

Edit: (to keep it on topic) I have another new link to throw on my M9 next.
