No reason why not to go medium, my M6 fits like a glove and the M9 may fit even better

No worries. My seat is pushed back on the rails a little but I like the feel of the bike "under" me when I'm riding rougher sections of trail. Never have a problem getting forward and low when needed and I never bang my knees on the bars even wearing kneepads.

Nobody that I know who is 6'0" rides a large anything.

I know, but having ridden Intense for the past 10 years, I decided to stick with what I know, and works for me.

and i am not sure if the dorado would look ok on the v10, hahahaha

You are right, I think the Dorado will look best on the Intense M9.
Do you know if the black chrome coloris the same as 2010 (Tracer VP for example) or is it that new "gunmetal" grey as seen on a M9 at Eurobike?

They should be the same color, I think it looks more lighter grey because of all the lights etc, but the color from eurobike looked really great!

Kovariks bike is stealth black, not black chrome. I am not sure about those frame on eurobike. Is it painted in gunmetal or black chrome?

That eurobike frame color (on the wall) is one of the standard colors, black chrome.

I never was really that fond of it...until it got applied to an M9 and now I think thats what I want!

    Elegant, yet burly.

yeah, seems that the old standard colors aren't std anymore...(stealth black would have been great)

The question about weights of the M9 frame was already posted but fits better here.
    Is there already a answer?

We are looking at between 11 to 11.5 # depending on size and color with RC4 & steel spring,
raw works will be lightest as PC adds at least 4 oz. (1/4#)

Hey jeff, any chance you've got a reach/stack measure for the larges yet? Met up with a guy riding a medium up at mammoth, and it looked about the same size as my large M6, but I'd like to know for sure.

    btw, that yellow looks sick

    Link Colors and Decal-Editions?

I got some more questions on M9's details.

Is the standrad color for all links and G3-Rear ends still black-ano?

Which options of decal colors are available? Is there a huge variety like as there was for the 951, or only the black and white editions like on the m6?

When will the first M9s be shipped to Germany?

    THX

    All links are black.

Decals are black and white kits only. (for now, possible custom decal shop coming soon...POSSIBLE ;-) )

Shipping begins sometime in October (as listed on the initial PR a couple months ago)

Just order the M9, if you can afford it. I recently became a first time dad, so I will probably not ride DH much in 2011, but I thought, what the hell, got sa really good price fom my M6, so ordered the M9, can't wait

The tire looks super close to the shock and its not even in the short setting in the pic of the yellow M9.
Is the tire going to rub like on the 951 in the short setting?

Mine is scheduled to arrive sometime next month. Would be nice to have something to help keep that CCDB from getting plastered in sling. Looked hard @ the V10c, but the CCDB and "Made in USA" won out.

Looking for a clarification on shock options. The original press release from intense had stated that the RC4 was stock, but have read on different threads that the CCDB is now stock. Another site had quoted that the CCDB was a optional $50 upgrade. Can anyone clarify what is stock and what is the cost to go with the CCDB if indeed it is an upgrade?

I love that the cable stop is more forward. It saves the frame and cable from rubbing together. Looks good to me.

Technically you're right. It is the right place for the cable stop. I just meant the way it was welded there. Looks kind of not very thought out.

This isn't making the wait for "mid to late November" any easier. I was hoping my med raw would come in under 11lbs. with a ti spring, but it looks like it will be very close to 11. Oh well, my King hubs are on BO, too.

The thing still needs a fender in a bad way, mainly for the shock, but those reinforcement gussets make a fantastic mud shelf. I'll go get some cheese for my whine now.

...and probably twice as tough. thats good weight added. WC bikes need to be all-day strong. Socom is a totally different tool.

Only if you are a fata$$ hack type of rider.
Now that Intense has covered this side of the rider spectrum it is about time to develop a Socom Evo for us skinny finess style riders.

Thanks for sharing the pix. Mouth watering.

So what are we thinking on frame weight versus the M6 - I was guessing 0.5 to 1 lb lighter with the M9, like for like. Looks as though I may have been off base, and it is more like-for-like.

    Any ideas ?

    Beautiful. So nice naked.
I can't wait to be engrossed in progression curve changess and travel choices only to begin monkeying with head angle and have to start all over again.
The stickie with tuning tips will be a great database for everyone.
Anyway we can starting points for team riders for each WC course?

A local bike shop (http://thepathbikeshop.com/) has an M9 in the black chrome. It is very nice looking - even to the point where I was thinking of replacing my M6 with it, despite not riding my M6 much lately. I think the black chrome is my new favorite Intense color. The pictures here truly don't do it justice. It must be seen to truly appreciate.

Well after carefully talking to the wife, to see if I can make that Blue M9 mine, it turns out I would have to get sponsored or win the lotto. I will be buying some lotto tickets tomorrow....

Wonder if anyone is into sponsoring a semi-old semi-winning Canadian?lol

Also depends on what color and size you ordered. Raw Med were the first out the door, followed by Red I believe. Mediums, smalls, then larges are the build order, with the Raw/stock colors as the first to ship. Timeline is not soley dependant on your order date, as of yet. Talked to them yesterday and my meduim, custom color, should be going out the door towards the end of the week.

    great Ride

the GEO feels the same in comparison with the 951; but the acceleration on rough tracks with lots of pedaling is much better due to the (in my opinion) better workin rear-end.

due to the angle-set AND the G3 you can make it a lot larger than the 951.
    The reach feels the same.

    Good info!

I personally love the low BB on my 951. Do you still have that go-cart feeling? How is your frame set up currently?
