    Intense cycles at 2013 eurobike

I have been at 2013 Eurobike show and I taken some pics about 2014 Intense Cycles

The Carbine 275 offer two new decal version (like 951 evo) and new color: naked black with yellow. Also will be available in full naked black.

The newest Carbine 29er shows with the new 2014 CCDB Air with climbing platform, sure that is the best shock option for this big size lighweight long-travel trailbike!

No! Carbine SL doesn't appear. Since few months ago some Intense's dealers, and Intense website offers this brand with sale price ($1500). Also with Spider 29, Spider 2 and Tracer 29.

Intense dropped the Tracer 2 from their website not too long ago so I suspect the Tracer 27.5 is replacing it altogether.

YES!!! A Carbine SL 27.5 would be the shizz!!

Just add 142 drops & post mounts.

Oh yeah, and internal routing like the 29ers.

Lastly, stick with the SL paint scheme, but with Flo Orange instead of red.

    Home Run!

Seems to me that the difference between a Carbine SL and non-SL is just the rear triangle and G1 capability, which is probably what the weight difference (~.5lbs) comes out to.

Hmm, Now that I think about it, I guess it doesn't make sense (or perhaps not really possible/feasible), to make an SL 275 version with non-G1 dropouts due to the many rear axle options available these days. Once you take that into consideration, you end up with a non-SL carbine again.

If G1 dropouts change a Carbine to a Carbine 275, then what would change a Carbine to a Carbine SL 275?

Please keep it simple by talking about the new Carbine, not last year's.

You would have to swap out the rear end of the SL for a 275 rear with G1 dropouts, at which point you would essentially have a Carbine (275) again.

A Carbine SL front triangle with the carbon upper link & longer travel shock, bolted to a standard Carbine 27.5 rear, would result in a Carbine SL 27.5. The 1/2 lb difference is divided between a slightly lighter lay-up schedule (different weave, different ply count) and the carbon upper. In my post above, I was dreaming of a dedicated rear 142 x 12 (like the Bronson) only with post mounts for the brake. Included in the dream was a Flo-orange decal kit.

I suspect you'll see a dedicated Carbine 275 soon and the Carbine will be dropped. It seems logical that they need to simplify the lineup and the only 26" bikes would be the Uzzi and the M9.

Now if we're gonna dream then how about an Uzzi EVO (aka Uzzi 275)
