    Intense Carbine Linkage Question

I have a 2012 Intense Carbine 275 and the linkage bolts seem to be loose within every two rides. I ride hard on trails which are really more XC on average than AM. Does anybody else have experience with this? I was thinking of applying locktite, but am not sure that is a good idea. Any recommendations would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Apply Locktite and torque to proper specs and you should be just fine. I am on my fourth Intense and have never had an issue with the linkage bolts after I bought my torque wrench.

Call Intense to get the proper torque specs as they are quite high and undertightening will lead to chronic loosening. If you don't have a torque wrench, I highly recommend you pick one up.

Here are the specs for my Spider Comp. I would presume the Carbine's are very similiar.

125 inch lbs, upper two bolts on swing link
175 inch lbs, lower two bolts on swing link

Mine also came loose on the first few rides. I locktited them and torqued to spec, and it started making horrible creaking sounds. Removed locktite, retorqued, and the creak went away and the bolts have been solid since.
