Front Derailleur help - Tracer VP

Ok, I got me a Tracer VP and I am having a difficult time with the front D... The cable is hitting the rear triangle cross supports near the seat tube. I have an XT top/bottom pull derailleur that is a few years old, do I need a new one? I also tried an X-gen that I had on my other bike, it is a top/bottom pull and wouldn't even fit in the space provided (unless I took all the chain rings off). The cable stop is opposite the drive side, I am almost thinking of using a Problem Solver and lowering the cable stop to make it work. HELP - do I need a new front D or a specific type? Am I routing the cable wrong?

Are you using a top swing derailleur?

Not sure... I just know it is top/bottm pull. Looks like I need a top pull top swing.? This is a new one, I havent had issues with a front D before and I havnt notice too many places selling all the options just top/bottom pull.

Yeah, you need a top pull, or low clamp FD.
