    Frame Alignment

I have an older aluminum Spider XVP frame that I still ride regularly. The rear triangle is significantly out of alignment with respect to the front triangle. I wrapped a string from the rear axle, around the front head tube and back to the axle on the other side and measured the distance from the string to the seat tube on either side. The difference when split is approx 10mm which means the rear axle needs to be moved 10mm towards the centerline of the frame in order to be aligned properly. Does anyone have a method for realigning the rear triangle w.r.t. the front triangle?

You can't. The "mis-alignment" occurred when the frame was built. All you can maybe do is dish the rim towards the center. You hear people complain once in a while about how some Intense frames from a while ago where off center, although my M9 seems to be good.

Noticed my 6.6 frame is about 3mm off centre on the rear triangle too. I've not noticed any issues when riding though. 10mm does seem a long way out

Having the frame misaligned a small amount can be normal if it's within manufacturer tolerance. 10mm sounds like a lot though.
