I have an older aluminum Spider XVP frame that I still ride regularly. The rear triangle is significantly out of alignment with respect to the front triangle. I wrapped a string from the rear axle, around the front head tube and back to the axle on the other side and measured the distance from the string to the seat tube on either side. The difference when split is approx 10mm which means the rear axle needs to be moved 10mm towards the centerline of the frame in order to be aligned properly. Does anyone have a method for realigning the rear triangle w.r.t. the front triangle?
