Pretty sure the carbon Intense frames are made in Germany, by a company called SEED.

"Designed" in Germany by SEED. They are definitely manufactured in Asia. There was an interview with Jeff Steber posted up somewhere on MTBR that provided more details on this. Found one on pinkbike.com that states,

"Intense works with SEED Engineering, a German company with an expertise in carbon fiber manufacturing, to bring its carbon fiber frames to life. The first fruit of this collaboration is the Carbine, a 5.5 - 6" travel trail bike. The finished product is manufactured in Asia, although all of its aluminum frame components - both upper and lower VPP links, as well as the G1 dropouts - are made at Intense's Temecula facilites."

I saw a raw Carbon Fibre Santa Cruz today in a shop, there's no doubt in my mind that Intense and SC are made in the same factory out of the same material, just a slightly different design.

Pretty sure the SC's are made in China. Ibis frames are. The country of manufacture isn't important - the actual factory is. China have lots of different factories producing CF components, some of which are the best in the world, and some of which aren't so good.

Carbine frames are designed by Intense (USA), carbon fibre engineering expertise by SEED (Germany) and manufactured at a factory in Taiwan. A global effort.
