    Carbine 275 questions SRAM x9?? And rear 160mm Brake??

    Checking in on a carbine 275 and I read on the stock XT build it takes a Direct mount frame compatible rear derailuer xt 781??, Is there a SRAM equivient, I do not see one.

    Can you only run 160mm on the rear because of the 275 chips??

    SRAM direct-mount front derailleurs dont' work on the Carbine due to the flare-out on the lower portion of the seat tube. The derailleur will hit the frame in the lowest gear position. Shimano direct mount derailleurs are built a bit differently, and provide enough clearance. Both operate on the same ratio, and are interchangeable between Shimano/SRAM cranksets.

    The 275 dropout kit for the Carbine puts the wheel in a different position than if you were using the standard dropouts. Since the disc tab on the frame was developed around the standard dropouts, Intense had to create a custom disc brake adapter so the brake would be positioned correctly with the 275 dropouts. Currently, they are only offering this custom brake adapter to fit 160mm rotors.
