Carbine 275 questions...
I did try a search but did not get some questions answered.
Did the frame come with a rear axel?? If not what axel are you using?
- I am not that familiar with the 142mm and if the Shimano syntace is different than a Maxle or the DT swiss 142mm axel.
What front derailleur? I am going to run 2x10 and I know it is direct mount, I was looking at the XT M786-D, is this the right one?
Headset looks to be the ZS 44 for the top, is the bottom a 49 ZS or is it an external cup headset?
I have the cranks all figured out with the press fit.
I should hopefully have it soon and wanted to get some parts on order.
Thanks for any info you guys pass along.

You need a DT Swiss RWS 142 x 12 axle. Pretty sure it's extra, but ask your shop. HS is 44/49, and for a tapered it's internal up, external below (get the King I3). Only Shimano direct mount FD fits.

not sure if 100% accurate, just correct me if i'm wrong
- Head tube "tapered" 44mm internal upper cup and 49mm external lower cup
- Rear drop out syntace w/ 142x12 axle (include w/ the frame) other options depend on shop
- Front derailleur is direct mount (ex XT M786-D)
- Bottom bracket is press fit type
- Seat post is 31.6mm (seat clamp include w/ frame) clamp size 36.4mm

Still trying to figure this one out, Carbine uses a top swing?? Is there different model #'s for top or down swing for the XT??
Thanks guys. I am a DH guy so front der. are kind of foreign to me, I have bikes that have them but just don't really touch them.

so far the only XT model with a direct mount is the M786-D top swing, this is your only choice

So is the M786-D both top and bottom swing??
Here is the BTI consumer page. It does not specifically list which it is? It just has it listed as "top/bottom" so it sounds like it will "go both ways", yes I said it...
Item # SH-40650
BTI | Front Derailleurs from Shimano (page 2)
Just want to make sure I order the correct one.
