Carbine 27.5 manual... grease zirks etc..

Hey, bought a 2013 carbine.. noticed it didn't have any grease zirks but had just blank plugs in the pivot bearings... anyone know what size will fit? And do people leave them in while riding, or put them in, grease it up, an then put the plugs back in? Kinda confused. Manual online at intenses' website is coming back as "page not found" as well.... hope to post pics of my build soon.. thanks in advance..

There is a little adapter that fits into your grease gun that has a pointed tip that pushes grease through the middle of the "plug" you mentioned. (It isn't a plug!)

Anyway, if you don't have the piece, you can always get a syringe, fill it with grease, and then take the "plug" out and force grease in through the remaining hole.

Contact Sam and see if he can send you the fitting/adapter.

Upper hole -150mm travel, lower hole- 140mm travel. Can't help with the zirks, mine have a small hole (there's that word again) in the center of the zirks for a grease needle...

    This is what you need:
Performance Tool W54216 - Grease Gun Needle Adapter | O'Reilly Auto Parts

It pushes grease past the tiny ball bearing in the center of the zerks installed on the frame.
I got mine at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Had to mess around with all the little adapters to get the needle to fit on the mini grease gun, but it worked fine once we figured it out.

I'm sure you've thought of it, but I used a Q-tip to clean the fitting & the ball before pushing grease into the bearings.
