The VPP design has a very low leverage curve, which is where the issue
comes from. Even with the new air can design, the leverage curve on
the bike is so low its hard to get full travel with normal sag. That
said, we are about to release a new tuning option for the DB-Air,
which is an Extra Volume Air can, which will create an even more
linear spring curve on the Db-air. This is a tuning option and will
be sold separately from the DB-Air. We've already done some testing
with the X-vol can on VPP bikes and it makes the shock work much
better with those bikes. So go ahead and get the DB-Air, we'll have
the X-vol can available in a few months.
