    Anyone polished a 6.6 frame?

    Hi all
I've got my new 6.6 frame and the previous owner had it stripped to bare metal and I was contemplating a new paint job or polishing or a combination of both.
Just wondering if anyone has had their frame polished? Any pics?

    Scrap the polishing idea!!

Having just been spending ages going through the 6.6 gallery I've had a change of plan.

I'll be going 'Works Red' I reckon..looks awesome. Does anyone know the paint code/mix for that colour?

    Cheers

By the way, the actual works red is a translucent red over the raw aluminu

    Hi Pal,

Mine is polished, was a beautiful mirror finish when done, doesnt last tho. Where are you living? I'm in Scotland, its wet, we get muddy, polished frames get scratched to buggery by paste-like mud.

Somewhere dry and dusty it would last a while i'm guessing, and there is always Heli taping.

Heres a photo of mine shroty after it was done. BTW it does still look great, especially in the sun

    Hey mate
Great looking bike I'm in sunny Malvern so mud galore at the moment and I did think about the scratches etc. Decided to get it resprayed instead and am going with a nice Candy Red/Black combo. Mirror polish looks great but I can't really be faffed with all the upkeep of the finish.
    Cheers
