    650b Pike on SL

What would be the effect of putting 650b Pike forks on a Carbine SL but running 26" wheels?

I want to future proof my build as much as possible.

Depends on what travel, but add 10 mm to the A2C compared to a 26" version. It will raise the BB about 1/4" and slacken the HA by .5 degrees assuming 140 travel version.

The forks would be 150mm 650b. A slightly higher BB and slacker HA may not be a bad thing seeing as the BB is low anyway, and the HA is 68deg.

    Sounds promising, cheers.

Are you considering the 650b fork offset? there is a difference however slight.
I'm sorta in the same delema, although a standard carbine

I think I read it's 2mm difference, but still less than the Fox Equivalent. Like the whole 650b argument, I reckon any changes will be minor and not worth worrying about. I'm no pro and suppose will adapt to anything once I've ridden it enough.

I decided to go with the 650b Pike and ordered it earlier today/yesterday, the most important thing to me, is that the bike looks sexy.

I ran my Carbine with a 650b Rev for a couple of months with 26inch wheels. I was great and the extra slackness was good on the steeps. I have just moved onto Pikes now.
