    Here's my faithful steed!!

    6.6 Photo Album-image_084.jpg

Hey guys, just got my 6.6 together and man I LOVE IT!!
Its a 2007 stealth black definitely built more for D/H than for x-country I haven't weighed it but my guess would be
somewhere around 35LB. I love the way this bike feels, it climbs like a goat and descends like a freight train!!
Check out the pic, it was taken on her maiden voyage on a trail called Whiskey in Rossland BC..... what a ride!!!

I broke my 6.6 virtually identically this summer. I got zero response from Intense. On several occasions I e-mailed, called, and dealt with the local rep. Zero response, thanks a lot Intense! It ended up working out ok, as I purchased a Banshee Spitfire and couldn't be happier! The next addition to my stable will be a Mark II, and my wife is considering trading her Tracer VP for a Spitfire. The customer service from Banshee is unparrelleled and the ride is sweet. The Spitfire is much stiffer, it works with an RP23 much better, and the geometry is spot-on (oh, and did I mention that the frame cost $800 less!)

    I got intense response.
Told me to send the frame to them. that are going to weld. repair cracked.
    But I'm in Brazil
would spend $ 300, shipping transportation.
and still have to repaint the frame and redo adhesives. there's not.
    Desiti.

help!!! headset question and fork

Im planning on running a manitou travis 1.5 headtube on the bike. I see fsa has a headset that is called the orbit e X-low stack. Will the the fork crown or adjustment knobs hit the frame when bars are cranked? is there a clearance issue? its a medium frame. should I go with the fsa pig? Im on a tight budget as I dropped all my $$ on the frame and fork. Has anyone ridden this set up? is 180mm to much travel in the front?

    any input is appreciated!!!

    Choose carefully my friend...

I have a nicely built 6.6 with a Totem coil 180mm and I used a Cane Creek Double X headset, best money I've ever spent!! I have no clearance issues with my set-up Team Stylo bar and stem. After purchasing my first bike (6.6)I bought another(6.6) on e-bay that came up STUPID CHEAP with some really nice parts so I bought it and removed some of the nice parts for my bike and sold the bike off. Now on that bike it had a 66 ETA front end on it with an FSA and I must say they're just not of the same quality and lets face it when you rip some nice rocky rooty single track with a couple of nice booters mixed in, the last thing you wanna feel is movement cause you bought an ok headset. I found my C/C for $25 plus shipping on e-bay pretty sure if you look you'll find one to. By the way my 6.6 is 40lbs and I climbed up my buddies back today on some pretty intense(no pun) rocky sections today and he was on his new Driver 8. Good luck with the build and remember your ride is only as good as the parts you put on it.

... and if we just ... My Orange 6.6 All Mountain Monster. Tuned juuuuust right.

This Bike is my pride and joy! Not because its my nicest bike, but because I have done the most on it. It has the most miles and best stories of any of my bikes. I feel invincible on it. Stock Fox RP23 was not meant for the 6.6... but I love the RP23 after Push got done tuning it for me. They gave me a factory tune kit so its actually sits at the proper sag with the proper amount of air whithout blowing through all the travel. Sag was impossible before that. When I dont need to the lockout, I throw on my 5th Element and the bike is happiest. This bike is a tank. Ride > Clean > Grease > Repeat, and this bike has been very loyal. Anyways... I love this bike. It makes me happy.

FRAME: Intense 6.6 Small w/ VPP2 Box Link
REAR SHOCK 1: Fox RP23 Boost Valve -- PUSH Industries Factory Tune Kit + Big Hit Kit
REAR SHOCK 2: 5th Element w/ softer ?lb Ti Spring (I throw this shock on when I want to shred and dont need to cilmb much)
FORK: Fox 36 TALAS 160 RC2 -- PUSH Industries Factory Tune Kit
    WHEELS: Mavic DeeMax UST
BRAKES: Hope Mono M4 w/ 185mm Rotors F+R -- (Avid Elixir CR 185 for now while M4's are being rebuilt)
    SHIFTERS: XTR 9-Speed
    CASSETTE: XTR 9-Speed Ti (11-32T)
    DERAILEURS: XTR
    CRANKS: XT 170mm
    STEM: Thompson X4 Elite 90x10mm
BARS: Easton Monkeylight DH Carbon 1.5" Rise

    SEAT: Specialized Body Geometry
    PEDALS: Speedplay Delirium Flats
F TIRE: Maxxis High Roller 2.35" Super Tacky
R TIRE: Maxxis Minon DH 2.35"

Let me know if these iDisk photos dont link up, ill try something else.

    Newbie to the forum

    Hi guys

My name is Ian, I live in North Scotland (great for mountain biking!), I'm 26 and I am in the Royal Air Force.

I have had my 6.6 for 2 years now and it has been through various guises but at the moment I am very happy with it.
I went to Southern Spain with it at the start of March for 2 weeks and it was the perfect tool for the job, the only issue I had was a rock flicking up and smashing my mech to bits!

Tried to post up a pic, but i haven't posted 10 times so I cant. grrrr.

Not sure how I'd get a link without posting 10 useless posts!

The only change at the moment is a high roller dual ply rear tyre and a white x9 mech instead of a gray one.

It has 6mm total offset bushes fitted in the shock and a Works components 2 degree reducer headset fitted,
so it rides like a mini downhill bike. So much better than with the stock (read steep) geo!!!

Hope you like guys, not sure of the weight but I'd say around 34lbs.

Nice light-weight build you got there! How light is it with your current configuration? That thing must love to climb!

Glad to know I'm not the last guy on a 6.6!

14.1 kg is very Impressive! Specially since you're still running a dropper at that weight. Mine is heavier and I'm not even running a dropper!

Running coils at both ends does have it's disadvantages.

    Rebuilt 6.6

    6.6 Photo Album-66-rebuild.jpg

I had a medium Red 6.6 since 2007, but I've never posted it up. Like Gravity Freak, I decided I needed a large. This one came up second hand, and I've had it repainted.

Spec is nothing special, only things of note, 1 degree angleset cups top and bottom, CCDB, and Spinergy Wheels.

    Hello, guys!
Oldie but goldie. Still own my Intense 6.6 but has an issue with chain guide. MRP system 3 didn't fit with BB -> ISCG Old adapter. Chainline and roller has a huge gap between. Need an advice. I bet any BB-mount giude will fit well? Or i should choose any 2-ring compatible guides so the roller will slide the way i need?

cranks - Shimano Deore XT M771 Hollowtech
Drivetrain is one-ring 36t in front and SRAM X0 11-32 rear.

    Weights 13,7 Kg.

I used a BB 2 chain rings guide from Shaman Racing (carbon), where the slide of the pulley indeed enables the right adjustment.

I used a blackspire stinger for dual ring cranks (bb mount) with mine.

then I tried the c-guide and it had a lot less chainslap and much lighter weight. I did notice a little bit more drag specially if the chain ran dry after a few dozen miles.

The old candy red was starting to get a bit worn so thought I'd go for something completely different. Now Sulphur Yellow with a gold flake. It's much brighter in the flesh and the flake looks great in the sunlight. Just waiting for the decals to arrive...
