    6.6 is capable of drops

So I went out Sunday and did a solo ride, it's a ride consisting of rocky steep sections and some very overgrown doubletrack trails mainly used for 4 wheelers. Me and a buddy had previously cleared out a section of about 200 yards of trail that inludes a 3 ft. rock drop to a slight tranny and is closely followed by a handlebar height drop thats got a good tranny, but it's pretty rocky, if you do it with speed it could be an 8 footer easily, but there is not much runout before hitting a tree, the trail pretty much stops after the drop. I hit the drop with a small amout of speed and it came out to about 5 1/2 ft. the suspension sucked up every bit, and it didn't even bottom out the rear shock, the bike seems plenty capable of more, but we need a little more trail work done first. I'll update you all soon.

Here are a couple of pics of the drop. The crapy pictures were taken by E2@CC (Ansel Adams) of me. The drop is a total of about 5 ft or so.

    Soquel Demo pics

My LBS, TrailheadCyclery (THC) had a demo day: maverick, spec'd, yeti came out with around 50 demo bikes for us to ride. But being the proud owner i am, I stuck with my 6.6. But in retrospect, I should have tried the SWorks Enduro... my pictures always come out like crap.. and there were a lot more fun stunts not captured on camera.. but here's two.

here's one from another post... but i'll just post it again while i'm here.
