    2015 carbine 29 upper link

I just got my new 2015 Carbine 29 frame to build up. Is the upper link a new type also and what is it made of? It is defiantly not the same as the 2014 one.

If anyone wants to buy a 2014 med frame with KS lev integra and avid elixir 9 carbon trail brakes let me know, it has been ridden 6 times and is in emaculant condition.

Don't laugh, I WANTED the new color scheme one, that is the only reason. I am a bike whore lol. I only rode the other one 6 times here in Nebraska so there has been no aggressive abuse at all if u know the Nebraska terrain. So there u have it.

I'd love to hear a ride report on the differences between the 14' and 15' model years. Also, more pics.

I like that 2015 color! More pictures!! :-)
I think the new suspension link is forged and stronger than the old cnc machiened billet piece. 2014 frames also has them.
I think the only difference is that 2015 frames does not have the replacable G1 dropouts.

    2015 carbine 29 upper link

The black LEV comes standard with the PRO build. Otherwise it's not available anywhere else, yet. However you won't see any SRAM X1 parts, I swapped them for an XTR build. First ride is the morning.

Ok, it was probably a running canage on MY 2014. My late 2014 has the new link as well as the red shoulder bolts and a db inline shock.

Hi all im going to buy the 2015 29er just a few things to ask . I'm 5.9 so would a size M be good for me ? I normoly ride larger frames but I'm a little unsure that this in L would be a step to far as its realy long wheelbase . How is rear end flex on these ? Flex is a pet hate of mine ) im also a little unsure of the travel this offers 140-125 ? ALLSO bike comes with 160mm forks would 150 forks be better ? And how does it get off the ground ie playfull or hard work ? Sorry it's a lot im asking but looking at the 2015 with ENVE wheels its allmost 9k so it's a lot of cash . Ive rode 29er NINER before and really liked how it rode but did feel it suffered on long climbs so any imput from you users would be great .thanks

I am 5'10" and ride a med. on my old one I use a 50mm stem but a 40 feels good too. On the more downhill stuff like the bike parks I will switch to a 35 length atlas stem. All of these fit me fine on it. I couldn't imagine being on a large, that's just me. I had a large Enduro 29 and hated it, could never get comfy at all and that's with a 35 stem.
