    08 Intense 5.5 + Fox talas RLC 08

I own a new Inense 5.5 08 Medium. I ordered a fox Talas RLC 08 (I did not received it). Do I need a new headset (ex S-3 Plus 5) to prevent my suspension fork from coming into contact with the down tube of my frame (fork's adjuster mechanisms that contact the down tube) ? Anyone run this setting with a 'standard' headset ? Thanks !

Sometimes you need the spacer, some time you don't - it depends on where they welded the head tube on that day. My girlfriend's small 08 5.5 didn't need the taller base plate with her Fox 32. Best I could suggest is to try it with the headset you have.

I have an 08 TALAS RLC on my medium 5.5 and needed the spacer with both this fork and an 05 Vanilla RLC. I never had it with my Vanilla, but finally stopped being lazy and bought the taller Chris King spacer for $20 from CBO. Works perfectly now and no more scratching the dials on my downtube. (idiot!)
