    Ya Wanna Kill Some Goatheads?

Goatheads are in abundance this year and have crept higher up in the foothills trail system than ever before. R2R is looking for volunteers to help pull the plants before they germinate. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Rich Gardunia (R2R Lead Ranger) at: rgardunia@hotmail.com.

Rich will also be leading a group of people to pull goathead plants this coming Saturday, August 15th from 9 am to 12 pm starting from the Foothills Learning Center. Please bring work gloves. Directions to the Foothill Learning Center can be found at: http://www.cityofboise.org/Bee/Foothills/index.aspx

Which isn't? Mil Reserve, Corrals, and most trails out of Camelsback are pretty bad...

From what I could tell on Wednesday

the heaviest concentrations are near trailheads ad access points - which makes sense in that they are being carried in from elsewhere. The are a lot on Hulls, the Camelsback area, and the lower trails in Military Reserve (Mountain Cove, Cottonwood Creek, etcd).

    Roundup...

...100% effective in diffusing those little roadside bombs. One gallon goes a long way.
I dig, chop, strangle, yank, stomp, annihilate, mutilate, eradicate, and FU goatheads

when i look down..all i see is dog shiz..

R2R's main emphasis seems to be controlling the dog shiz...and building curbs to lauch you over the dog shiz or dog shiz in a green bag

    and, that's all i see.

    not goat heads...just dog shiz.

dog shiz does a muddy trail it make

go to R2R's website...half the front page talks about dog shiz

    Campt Tuffit

There upon the idyllic shores of Lake Mary Ronan. No swimming in the crystal clear warm waters of Lake Mary Ronan. And likely no bicycle riding either given it's proximity to Missoula. But you can look. For now.

it would be much easier and quicker to rid of the goatheads via a 2 days a month plan
open the trails to dirt bikes(the ones that made the trails in the first place 40 years ago)
2 days a month would take care of this problem. don't see any goat heads on trail 4.
bobs is fun again now that the rocks are back in full force.

motos. heh. great joke. throttle twisters.

Trail 4 doesn't have goatheads because it's ridden by motos. Trail 4 sucks because it's ridden by motos. Therefore trails don't have goatheads but will suck. Simple logic.

There's really no point in "opening" or "closing" trails to dirt bikes

We'll just ride wherever the hell we want to anyway. Then in forty years bicycle riders will do the same thing.
