I'm taking Friday off, so I can ride Fri, Sat, or Sun. I'd love to go back and do the full loop.

FYI, both forecasts for Marsing and Melba according to Weather.com is calling for rain/snow showers and temps in the mid 40s for Saturday. Sunday looks better with partly cloudy skies.

Are you organizing it? If so, what time and where are you wanting to meet? Have you heard a forecast?

Let's wait and see if the forecast changes on Thursday, then plan the where and when to meet. At this point Sunday does look better tho.

Bombin, if we don't make it to Owhyees on Sat can you go Sunday?
Maybe can ride with you Sat locally if that's the case

You know me better than that - it's churchin' day on Sunday and I wouldn't be able to ride anything but the local foothills later in the afternoon. Got a friend from church who wants to ride and thankfully I have an extra FS sitting around (wife's bike) - might just take himm up 8th St for something mellow.

You guys have fun on this one, I'll catch the next one amigos.

Give me a holler if you go out Sunday afternoon. I've got the state leadership prayer breakfast Saturday a.m., but should be free in the p.m., both Sat and/or Sunday if I plan it right.

I have a new lever (actually two) on order through George's. It should be in late this week or early next. Those things are expensive!! No more carbon levers for me, I bought aluminum one in the hopes that they're more durable (and they're a lot cheaper in case thery're not).

I'm still up for any day - nice weather is always a plus.

Me ride in the Owyhees? I am far to slow and weak. Besides, I am shy and demure, and in my roadie phase. All I'll be doing is base. Long & slow.

Shirley Williamson asked me at the gym the other night where I've been (on Sat lactic acid rides). But I don't have a road bike. Really looking forward to getting one though.

D - I may be able to go, but I've got a full weekend planned of drawing pentagrams, howling at the moon, sacrificing goats and virgins, ACLU meetings, and otherwise generally working in service of all that is dark and evil. Oh yeah, and drinking beer.

True. I've always wondered how PETA members can square the PETA values with their Satanist beliefs. Remember - 4 out of 5 cannibals prefer vegetarians.

Okay due to schedules and the weather maybe being "iffy",
I'm inviting to ride the foothills on Sat.
If it's dry enough, an extended ride, with Military Reserve, Shanes, Rocky Canyon,
maybe 7/Orchard Gulch or what have ya, in the loop.....

If weather holds I was thinking to start from Cback around 9 on Sat?

    How does that sound?

    Snow Ride?

...thinking about donning the fullface and goggles and downhilling 8th street. Unfortunately I ended up staying up late watching Fear Factor re-runs because I just couldn't believe anyone could eat 12 live lawn snails (shell included) and then drive a car out the back of a moving 18-wheeler for the fifty grand. And the full-figured blonde girl from small-town Missouri won!

Anyway, OC Daryl -I just left you a message- you wanna give this a go? Llamame por favor por mobile phone.

    good times

Glad I brought the goggles this morning. Had to turn around on Kestrel and then lower Hulls to avoid the slopfest. 8th St gave me a nice workout and gravity game.

Anyone else hit dirt/sand/mud this morning?

RRB and I took the SS's out up 8th and then a reverse Corrals route then down by the golf course... Very fun and not too wet once you get up past the snow line... Lots of runners training for Robie...

So did anyone head out there today? It was hella windy and wet earlier. The winds have calmed down now and I'm hoping for at least Wilson Creek Road being dry tomorrow afternoon.

The track up at the Nordic Center was slow tonight due to the new snow they got. Damn I'm tired.

Not me, not flip, not RRB.

What's the "Nordic Center" ? Is it ride-able?

Naw, but I did get in a short road ride in the afternoon. I just put a shorter stem on my roadie, which allowed me to move my saddle back far enough so that my knees are over the pedal spindles when the cranks are at 3:00 - I can't believe how much more power I can get to the pedals and how much more balanced I feel on the bike! That said, I HATE compression plugs you have to use with carbon steerers - I can't seem to get the headset tight enough that it doesn't have any play. Grrr.

Bombin - we on for 3 PM?

It's where a bunch of Norwegian fishermen hang out after several months at sea. From the looks in their eyes the seem concerned that some if the Idahoans will get all gay cowboy on them.

And to prove that I'm not flipant all the time it's the nordic ski lodge at Bogus Basin.

Thanks Dirk....I was just wondering if it was something mtb-related that I was unaware of. I wouldn't know anything about bogus skiing/boarding since I am too broke to have more than 1 hobby I think I'll get one of these for next ski season : www.snowbikes.com
