    Travelling Through Mountain Home, ID

I've got some work at the AFB for a couple of days 8/27 & 8/28. I'll be driving and bringing my own bike.

Does anyone know of any planned group rides in the area around those dates?

I'm not aware of any public trails in that area, which is East of the Boise area. You might drive 45 minutes West to get some riding in http://ridgetorivers.org/

You might check with some of the folks on base to see what they think. Hope this is helpful, have a nice stay.

That looks like a pretty nice expanse of trail network.

I was stationed at Mtn Home from 95 to 01 and...

don't recall any trail systems, although I was more into river sports at the time. Your best bet would be to call the Outdoor Adventure Program (OAP) at 208-828-6333 and talk to Mike Hurt or stop by their building and have a chat - they're pretty cool folk. He runs a lot of the rec programs on base and I think he's currently running the mountain bike program. If anyone has info on mountain bike trails, it would be him. If he asks, tell him Mr. Happy sent you.
