Tamarack Resort A Good Ride Without Lifts?

I'm camping up at Cascade this weekend. I'm new to Idaho and have never been to Cascade except driving through once on the way to McCall. My riding preference is XC but I don't mind a little A/M or technical stuff mixed in. With that in mind, I think I'll check out Eagle's Nest. On the second day I'm torn between Jug Mtn Ranch and Tamarack. Is the Tamarack trail system fun without lifts? It looks like it'll have cool views. Any recommended routes?

It sounds like CIMBA has been clearing the trails on the mountain, if so it is a good time.

Any ride without lifts is a good ride. Anywhere.
Nobody cares what kind of bike you ride.

29-Er people have a hard time with going downhill.

Jug is perfect shape. Tam is slowly getting cleared, but I honestly haven't been there yet this year.

    Eagle's Nest.

I ended up with only one day to ride, and based on a thread I found on here, hit up Eagle's Nest (partly because it was really close to where I was staying). It was a blast. Seventy degrees, holiday weekend, didn't see a soul. My only gripe was that it was a bit chewed up from motorcyles, but only in certain spots.

Seems a little hard to gripe about motorcycles since they actually keep this trail open.
