    someplace dry

Well, I went out to Wilson Creek this afternoon and was greeted by very
good trail conditions. I started at the power lines and did a big loop, all was dry
except some of the north facing slopes on the higher elevations of Northwest
Passage. Those spots should be dry by the weekend.
It was nice and sunny on top of Bingo, but looked nasty over by Boise!

Yeah, I do that frequently. My wife usually knows where I am
and I ride a little more conservativly than when with others.
If I did'nt do solo rides I probably would not ride that much.

So Nels can you come out and play in the Owyhees Mon. Or Tues.?
It's been fun, at times, in VA, MD, DC area.

Nels - Nice shots, as always. I have a new XC build I'm itching to ride, and the Owyhees would be the perfect place for a shakedown ride. I'm officially inspired - Owyhees this weekend anyone?

Sure wish I had my 575 out here. But I rode all but one of those on the HT.

    What a great segue

So I get out of the shower this morning and realize part of the scab is lifting now that it's all softened up, so I give a little pull and what do you know -- I've had a stowaway for the past few weeks. Not to gross anyone out but...

hmm...you're supposed to leave the livestock out in the field. I hope you don't have any more personal livestock.

Saturday it is. (Just got the RFKP approved from the spousal unit.) 8 AM at the Park and Ride?

'05 Jamis Dakar XC Expert frame, picked it up cheap off the internet. Bought it from a shop in Illinois, where it had been built but not ridden. Swapped off the SRAM XO drivetrain and King/Hope/717 wheelset from the Ventana. It's not the lightest XC bike (~ 28 lbs) but it seems very solid. Here's the shot from Jamis' website; mine is speced a little different (Reba SL fork, Avid mechanical discs...)
