    Riding near Coeur d'alene

I may be moving to CDA and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the local riding scene? I know Schweitzer has DH in summer, but would appreciate any insight you all have. I'm currently in Marin County, California (which has the worst legal trail access in the country!).

Thanks. My favorite rides are the ones with great downhill sections, and I definitely don't mind long climbs to get to the goods.

Riding scene is good. We just don't advertise it.

Visicypher is right. We have lots of great riding. Just can't let too many people catch wind of it. Those darn out of towners He is a good resource as well as the local shops. I am biased towards two Wheeler dealer out in Hayden but Vertical Earth also has some good guys that ride a lot.

Schweitzer has some great trails that are anywhere from butt-pucker gnarly to some nice buffed xc trails. And Silver Mt in Kellogg has some decent lift access as well. Then there are hundreds of miles of trails out there that many of us have never explored despite living here for years.

IF you do make it up, stop by TWD in Hayden and usually one of us is riding or doing trail work on Sundays.

I second the Two Wheeler Dealer recomendation. Stop in and see them when you get to town.
