Nels and I drove up BB road to see what the trails were looking like. A lot of snow 5000 or so (approx) mile marker. Entrance Exam had snow on it and looked like the ridges around it did, could not see out to Stack but concluded too much snow and or ice or mud now. COLD.
drove back down to bottom of Sweet Connie and climbed that, not all the way up but close. Connie is in good shape, moist dirt, good traction and only some spots too soft. But the line at the landing of the hucking rock is pretty rutted up, there's room on the right side of the rut, but that section isn't in good shape and not sure when it was and when it got rutted (this last rain maybe?)
Heard the top is really rutted now and not in good shape but couldn't visually confirm. There's fun side trails on connnie with tech rock sections to play around on. didn't hit them all, a bit intimidated. need MOMENTUM, but didn't feel like dealing with result of NOT making them today! Downhill was pretty fun though. All in all a decent few hours of riding.
If you want to ride something differnt than foothills go climb Connie, but It's hard to tell you where the alternate tech singletrack is at except it is lower than the main line.
