    Peace Found---Peace Good!

Good times on Peace Creek. 14 miles total out and back. Great trail and nice to get out of the Valley. Thanks SWIMBA and FS for work on the trail. Link to some photos.

Nothing against Swimba, they do great work....but to clarify trail work on the Peace creek trail and surrounding trails...work up there was done by, mainly the Forest Service, A horsemans group last yr, Boise Parks and rec this yr, And Broken Spoke Cycling both yrs...

the trails up there are great, and will only get better, Keep riding up there, the more bikes the Forest Service sees on the trails the better...

that looks like a fun trail. What is the difficulty (climbing/Technical) like?

I see that the Forest Service lists this as 'most difficult', but I don't know how realistic these ratings are.

I would have to say moderate with some short technical sections that are all very rideable. The trail is gradual until last couple of miles and it steepens out but still pretty consistent in grade. Softer/sandier up top in spots. 7 miles up and 7 down @ 3000 ft elevation gain. Good flow downhill.

is there much water along the way? we usually ride with our dogs...and having creeks is always nice for them.

Looks like a great trail! My wife and I will be in Eagle for the weekend -- can you post some basic directions to the Peace trailhead?

The weather is mild for Boise this time of year :-)
