    Lewis & Clark Conditions (updated...)

So I called the visitor's center and they said all the snow is gone, and PLENTY of bikers have been coming through....

It's getting to be that time of year -- though with the warm temps and lack of snow forest fire season is looming large.

In any case, I assume L&C trails are riding and not too muddy, but wanted to double-check.

Has anyone been riding up there or Pipestone -- I'm assuming Homestake isn't yet riding.

Part 2: any recommendations for family-friendly FREE camping near L&C. I was thinking somewhere down by the river.

Rode there yesterday and there were a few greasy sections but that was it.
