    Lemhi Range, Leadore Area Ride

Recently did this ride starting about 7 miles SW of Leadore, ID. Started on Big Timber Creek Road and rode up the road which is faster than driving due to roughness. Rode about 5 miles and the singletrack starts into Big Timber Creek. Rode past mouth of Rocky Creek, (another classic ride), to Trail Creek. With some short hike a bike, rode up most of Trail Creek (which is closed to motorized), up to Snowbank Trail. Took a short sidetrip to Timber Creek Pass, then west on Snowbank Trail to Cabin Creek Trail. Down Cabin Creek Trail to Big Timber Creek, turn right and back to starting point. About a 28 mile lariet loop counting road miles. Was smoky so the views and photo's were limited. Great exercise and enjoyed the trail. You will get your feet wet crossing Big Timber Creek twice as its about 30 feet wide. I took a pair of sandals for the creek crossings. This is just one of the several classic strenous rides in the area. Photo's are:

    Cabin remains in Cabin Creek.

    Fuzzy map track route.

Idaho sure has a lot of mountain ranges but you don't hear much about this one. Thanks for sharing
