Just passing through I-90 trail picks in Idaho

I am relocating from Minnesota to Washington. I will be driving I-90 and plan to stop along the way and get a few rides in. If you were to have 4-5 hours to ride where would you send someone.

Remote is good (I have ridden the Colorado trail) or if there is some classic urban trails that's good too.

What trail would show off your area.

    Thanks much,
    Zip

I-90 through MT goes over the CDT @ Homestake Pass (just before Butte) and that new trail is pretty decent (not epic backcountry / remote though...)

You can ride N CDT north of hwy as out and back, or do lollipop loop south of pass by turning Rt onto Beaver Ponds route from CDT, then when that ends at the road you make a left go up and over the pass back to the CDT (on your left...)

Search Coeur d'Alene in the trails section. There are some around.
For lift assist - Silver Mt in Kellogg is right off the freeway.
A lot depends on how far of I90 you are willing to go.
I was gonna stop by and see you, but the Jehovas witnesses came by. When they left I started drinking. Voicemail from Paul

    Idaho

I looked at the Idaho section and Coeur d'Alene but the one thing that stuck out was trail reviews were pretty old.

In this area (Minnesota) trails can open and close over time so I wasn't sure of conditions. I saw reference to trail 257 (i think). Looked pretty good but being 1500 miles away, you never know. Would you recommend this?

Also, any camping in the area?

Thanks everyone and anyone who can help
