good place to take beginning kids?

where is a good place to take beginning kids, been taking my son to the bike park in eagle and he likes it, but is frustrated with having to walk a lot of the hills. is there any place with gentle hills or rolling terrain where he could ride a few miles of singletrack? we would like to find a step between the bike path and the eagle park.

    thanks

don't forget the dump trails. short and sweet. some easy rolling and at least one gradual hill.
I dig, chop, strangle, yank, stomp, annihilate, mutilate, eradicate, and FU goatheads

Seaman's Gulch has a rewarding loop for kids that avoids the yahoo traffic of Dingleberry Gulch and Military Reserve.

Same for Current Creek off of Cartwright Road near Hidden Springs.
Nobody cares what kind of bike you ride.

When the snow is gone, Bear Basin in McCall is a great next step for kids- and spouses. It's mountain biking in mountains and with pine trees, but pretty smooth and any climbs are easily avoided.
