    Footie-fetish group grope

Please - if you're going to host an after-work weekday evening group ride in the foothills where you're expecting 20+ riders to participate, would you please split into smaller groups for the actual ride? I could have field dressed a 6 point buck, been interviewed by Larry King, watched an extra-inning major league baseball game, and taken a short nap in the time I waited for one 20+ rider group grope to finally pass last night.

    Ah, September.

900 Lumen headlamp + 600 Lumen bar mount + any trail = night riding goodness, no crowds, but amounts to lots of coffee the next day
Just ride down there and jump off something for crying out loud...

I give night riding a big "meh."

I give mega-huge weeknight foothills group rides a "feh," and a "whaaaaa???," followed by a big "FAIL!!!"

Quit hijacking my post with this night riding nonsense.

This thread was supposed to be filled with expletive-riddled rants about the true horrors of supermegahuge foothills-based group gropes. And salad. Copious references to salad too.

Git yer own thread, night riders. Maybe you can view that thread in the dark. Whoopee.

    Lightr Question

Just which lights do you recommend? I would assume that, if you are riding alone, you will need a brighter light than if you are riding in a large group.

    Don't you agree?

From what I can tell, it seems that the bigger the group, the less bright the riders.

I ride alone, thus I am brilliant.

Tofurkey makes me want to touch myself.

However, I think these images are more representative of the "Gang of 20" marauding about the foothills last night.

I'm sure it was very social and fun.

I think that you are referring to the Joy Ride Cycles group ride last night. I saw the group from afar and recognized several riders. I questioned the same thing, why such a big group?

BB, I'm not naming names, but you (and others) can draw your own conclusions. One of the many Boise riding cliques. (What is it about mountain biking that encourages junior high school level clique behavior?)

Not only was it a big group, but not very polite. I think maybe one or two people bothered to say "thanks" or hello.

    Laser

There was recently a laser hair removal incident in the Treasure Valley which left several individuals hairless - not even a patch if you know what I mean. In an attempt to keep warm, they have been riding in large groups. Their merkins are scheduled to arrive some time this week so the large packs of riders with out pubic hair should subside.

The good news is there will less spitting from those that ride with the bald ones so we can all get back to complaining about dog sht.

    For those uninquiring minds.

Has humor come back to the board?

Night riding sucks because I can't work on my tan. Any way with some of the shady characters around Boise, while night riding you may just get knocked out and have your salad tossed.
