X-post: New Tapered steerer on 32 chassis?

Was just randomly clicking on some links on Fox's site when I stumbled upon some of the changes for '09. I've never even heard peep that this was an option.

Anyone heard of this? Anyone riding one? Would it work on a Mojo? If so, what headsets if any would work?

Trek unveiled it for 08 under the name "E2". Specialized also makes a proprietary fork that has the same taper. For 09' Trek is adding E2 to its carbon Fuel EX frames and they will be running the new Fox forks, along with the new GF Roscoe ( and maybe others I'm not sure). As for running one on a Mojo it's not really an option. The tapered forks are set up to use a 11/2" lower bearing and a 1 1/8" upper bearing. The frame's head tube has to be specifically designed to accommodate this setup. Unless the folks at Ibis decide to adopt this setup for the Mojo, it's a no go.
