    HD rear triangle that allows different dropouts for 650B and 26" a la Intense. I suppose the same could go for the SL-R.

    Also, adopt the SL-R top tube cable routing on the HD. Almost everyone runs the dropper post on their HD and the current routing is not on par with the quality of the rest of the bike. They have a tendency to come loose and chew up the cables. Also makes it a pain to remove/install the dropper post.

    Also, to fit the Hope braided disc brake cables on the HD, you have to cut the thin plastic housing. Maybe a zip tie based approach for all of the cable mounts would make sense?

    Having said that, I love my HD. Best and most versatile bike I have ridden in nearly 20 years.

    One more thought. I wouldn't change too much on the Mojo HD in terms of the amount of suspension. 180 mm rear travel would essentially make it an DH bike and not really a trail/AM bike. If that's the case, why not just build a DH bike. I also like the head angle on the HD. It corners better than pretty much anything out there. Too much slacker (e.g., 65 degrees) and I think it would loose some of that. I think many of the people who are asking for those changes are really asking for a full-blown DH bike and not an AM/DH bike.

    Adjustable headset/HTA as-standard on most/all bikes...
    Wheel size options. Not my thing, but some people seem to like trendy 650 wheels.

    Bikes:
    1)"Super" Mojo HD....! Really liking the sound of that...
    HD with 160-180mm adjustable travel would be ideal.
    Better yet if you can do it with a linkage/chip kit and I can 180-ify my currently-new HD...

    2) Mojo DH - proper 8"+ big bike, travel adjustable back to mini-DH travel and 650b compatible (I see a use as race wheels...)

    3) Silk SL disc...? cf. colnago.com/c59-disc/

    4) Ripley - pretty...

    5) A bad-a$s aero track frameset and bars/stem, built to fit a 6'4 sprinter...? I'd un-retire for that....

    or

    5) a STEEL (or Ti) long-travel hardtail.... been there I suppose, but nothing wrong with an homage to the back catalogue....

    Thanks for asking. As XC is my focus, a 650B SLR would be perfect. I'd like to think that given the work done on the HD140, hopefully this is something that could be put into production fairly quickly.

    That's the frame I would most like to see but I'm not sure mfg's like Ibis willing to bring a 650b SLR to the market until fox announces a 650 xc choice. Could be a deal breaker.

    I hope that wouldn't be a deal breaker.... I would take a Revelation EVERY TIME over a Fox 32, and RS is also coming out with a Reba.... and Ibis is already dabbling in X-Fusion products as well.

    Agreed. There are definitely worthy 650b fork choices if fox isn't producing an xc model and kudos to Ibis if they take the lead before fox catches up.

    Possibly a deal breaker in terms of the mfg's decision to produce the 650 xc frame due to the mkt share that fox holds. Those that use fox suspension on their high end frames may not be willing to make a switch, sales would be impacted.

    I would certainly give another fork brand a try in order to ride a frame and wheel size that I like.

    1. DH bike. 200mm delivered travel, 180mm Limbo Chip option.
    2. Ripley HD 150mm, slack and aggressive. Short chainstays
    3. Replace the SL with a 120mm XC racer
    4. Tranny 29er
    5. An inexpensive commuter option (sub $1k) not carbon. You could call it the 99%'er


    For all models offer the super sexy Cylon Silver you have for the SR-R.
    Internal Cable routing is neat
    Shorter chain stays on the HD

    slr compatible with a chainguide and tensioner. I was ready to pull the trigger on buying one but I dont like the idea that I won't be able to run a 1x setup on it without the tensioner. HD is good but I guess a little heavy for me.

    That is not what Hans told me - he was riding a 1x10 well before release. The advice from my shop is the same - there are options apart from just a widget and clutch rear d combination. I have a frame in the garage with that intention myself.

    I know you can setup the slr with 1x and use the direct mount chain guide but I prefer the whole system with the tensioner for those really rough ride. IMO.

    That's cool and I understand. The frame is certainly capable of being beaten and keeping on going, but seems like the HD has taken that crowd. For where I live the, the HD is not my choice, although the riding is rough in a lot of places (at speed).

    HD is nice but I think is a little to heavy for me. I only weight 125lbs and my mojo c is holding up pretty good on whatever I throw in to and my current setup is fox 36 160mm up front and I'm loving it. Just want something up to date like the slr with all the tapered headtube and stiffer carbon layup just like what Ibis is claiming. But couldn't figure out on how I can make it a 1x setup with the tensioner. Until then I guess I would have to settle with my 3 yr old mojo c.

    Rather than anglesets option to choose or purchase offset shock hardware like limbo chips from Ibis direct for differing hta adj.
    Ibis shock tunes direct through Ibis for Fox, RS, XFusion etc that would be way cool get a shock that suits your style of riding up front.

    Too early for me to ask for much more, pretty much what I'd want from any mfg regardless of how good the base product is.

    An SLR w/ "chip" (custom dropout like Intense) conversion to 650b would be a home run IMO. Even if people don't use it, it would alleviate buyer anxiety over possible changing standards.

    29er or at least 650b Tranny is key as almost nobody wants a 26" hardtail anymore. (Though I'd be bummed as i already bought a carbon 29 ht.)

    I don't see a DH Ibis as a winner, as DW link is more of a strength/differentiator in climbing than descending.

    A lot of people have mentioned modular dropouts like Intense is offering but I think Banshee's system would meet the needs of more people.

    Anybody buying their 160mm travel Rune has a chance to select 26" of 650B dropouts for whatever axle spec they intend to run (135qr, 142x12, or 150x12). You can also run the head angle as 65, 65.5 or 66 degree, paired with quarter inch changes in the bottom bracket height.

    This system seems like a real winner that would allow people to set their beast up for the day's terrain whether it's more park oriented or mellower aggressive trail.

    Finally decided what I want from Santa Ibis. A Mojo "SL-R" with:
    * 67.5 degree head angle (running 150mm travel fork)
    * removable TT cable guides or internal routing. Running 1x so don't need them. Especially once the SL-R Goes...
    * ... Stealth compatable
    * dedicated 650B
    * Not a deal breaker, but initial target weight achieved would be nice
    * Monarch option ( if not will have to go frame ex shock cause there's no way I'm going CTD)

    1. Mojo HD 27.5, 160mm travel. And not a Ripley-fied 27.5" like some have mentioned - stay away from the angular contact composite bearing eccentric linkages of the Ripley. Novel idea and lends bike geek cred, but that bike has been in development way too long and the development effort/cost seems of questionable value. Especially when you already have a suspension linkage design on the HD/SL/SL-R that is among the very best on the market. Seems you could develop a killer 27.5 160mm bike pretty quickly based on the HD with HD-style linkages, just optimizing the geometry for 27.5.

    2. Mojo HD refresh, like the SL-R. Mojo HD-R? Lighter hardware and lighter carbon layup, other improvements like internal cable routing. Maybe a degree slacker, maybe even add a little travel to 170-180mm. The current HD pedals so well at 160mm, I cannot even see the need for a bike with less travel, and more travel = even more versatility.

    3. Somebody else mentioned a 20" kids bike. Hell yeah! There are only a few builders that make a 20" kids mtb worth a damn, and they are still too heavy and too expensive for what you get. With the first generation of hardcore mtb'ers all grown up and having kids that they want to introduce to the sport, there's gotta be a market for a good carbon hardtail or FS kids bike. No reason a 20" kids bike shouldn't be well under 15 lbs, but good luck finding one.

    This, apart from the bit about increasing the travel. A lighter 'HD-R' with 140/160mm travel, internal routing, and slacker geo based around a 160mm fork - that would be a huge hit.

    +1. I'd jump on an Ibis build like this over the 2013 competition in a heartbeat. Even cooler if Lopes endorses the "tweener" wheel size

    Long as it's not the brake lines I'm ok with internal routing

    Possibly add me to that list as well but for pete's sake give the current owners a real 650 rear triangle. Does this not seem like a no brainer to do?????

    Whats up with everyone wanting a 650B Option, talk about trendy. I doubt half of the people asking for it haven't ever even ridden a 650 bike.

    Internal cable routing is for road bikes, not mountain bikes

    People want some super slack HD? I don't think half of the people on this board are ready to try and ride something 66> Headtube angle, sounds good on paper but if you don't know how to ride the frontend aggresively (which most people don't) Its not gonna do anyone any good.

    No wonder most companies don't ask people on internet forums how to design their products

    I happen to like the HD just as it is, with it's geo and 26" wheels. It's perfect for an all mountain/trail bike. I hope that Ibis keeps the HD as a 26" bike and just makes a rear triangle for 650b or even better make the 650b guys a bike of their own and leave the HD alone.

    Few things I would like to see on the HD.

    1, Keep it as a 26" bike with same geo or close to same, option for 650b rear triangle
    2, More shock options
    3, Improved rear tire clearance, Hans dampf 2.35 rear fits but tight.
    4, Improved clearance for cassette/chain when in smallest cog
    5, Room for a coil shock on a small HD frame without making the seat tube any longer.
    6, molded cable mounts like the sl-r, no more rivets!
    7, Reduce hd frame weight.
    8, Updated color options.

    It's a personal choice, I'm running a -1.5° Works Components headset, and a 170mms Bos Deville forks.

    I'm next to 65° and I just love it this way.

    (Have a -1° WC headset for sale, pristine condition, cheap have a look on PB)

    Well if you're truly the DH champ your sig lines suggest, then you are one of the exceptions.

    And for the small majority of riders who are aggresive and riding steep terrain or have mini-dh'd their rig, the slacker tube makes sense. But telling Ibis that they should now make ALL of their HD's more slack would be a terrible move for Ibis who sells much more frames to average riders than the tiny minority of super rippers.

    The slacker headtube is great for steep descents or running into things, but for trail riding, pumping, pedaling, cornering and less steep trails its more of a hinderance.

    You call it a rumor, I call it a clever marketing ploy

    As well, guys like Brian Lopes ride anything, and fast. Its nice knowing that the same bike I ride is under the feet and hands of one of the best enduro riders out there, but lets not be fooled into thinking he couldn't do the same thing on just about any of the top shelf AM/Enduro bikes out there. If he hopped on a huffy and shredded and called it the ultimate trail bike, I would not buy one because he said so.

    Special headsets are there to fulfill this need.

    What I asked for a few weeks ago, was a DH frame for ACC !

    1. 650b HD 160-180mm (preferably with slack HA)
    2. 650b SL-R 140-150mm ((preferably with slack HA)
    3. A "Gran Fondo" carbon road bike with a compliant ride, disc mounts, and (you guessed it) relaxed head angles would be awesome. (basically the bicycle equivalent of a sport-touring motorcycle)

    Magazine reviewers and hardcore racers seem to be big on "twitchy" handling. I prefer my bikes to have more relaxed handling so you can confidently hit the big speeds and still trust the bike to stay predictable.

    I know a lot of folks have been asking for internal routing, but I strongly prefer external for ease of maintenance. Just isn't worth the hassle.

    1) HD revision, slacker (66 deg), internal cable routing, ICSG tabs, Better shock options (Cane Creek, X Fusion, etc. on builds.

    2) 650B HD 150-160, updated geo, same as previous.

    3) Ibis DH bike

    4) Long Travel 29er, 140mm

    5) Aggressive hardtail, 140-150mm fork, 650B

    Actually you need only two models:

    - HD with interchangeable travel (maybe 160mm to 190mm) and HA for enduro and bike park riding,

    - Ripley, or some else 29er with interchangeable travel of 120 to 140.

    Why compromise with 27,5" when you can have best of both ends?

    So I guess I'll chime in here...

    I'd love to see an Ibis "Adventure" road bike, sort of like the 'Gran Fondo" mentioned above but with clearance for a true 32mm tire... and I'd love to see it WITHOUT discs... I just don't see the need for discs on road bikes... good calipers stop just fine unless you're on a fully loaded touring bike or tandem...

    Also, I think Ibis would kill it with a couple "retro" steel bikes... and for the poster that said "might as well make them out of lead"... you really have no clue how light a well-made steel bike can be... I guarantee I can build a steel cross bike that weighs no more than my carbon Lugi...

    I agree. 12 pages of ideas/input it's time for some info back from Ibis. I've got a few possible 650B bikes in mind to purchase (hopefully before spring) and I'd love to see what's in the pipeline here.

    Well if their past announcement shed any insight on 2013's models and beyond, they probably won't say peep until the bikes are in the HQ ready to go out to dealers a-la-yeti style. Look how long we speculated over the delivery dates of the SLR and now the RIPLEY.

    Looks like Dave just posted another tweet February 1. No guarantees they're Pivot products as I imagine he's got Turner and Ibis steeds in the mix.

    Word is that Turner has a carbon 29er in the pipeline. I imagine Pivot and Ibis are both pushing 650B projects. Wonder where the DH is coming from and I know the AM following is huge. Sounds like he's involved in a few things.

    I'd like to at least know if there will be a dedicated 650B rear triangle made for the existing HD. More clearance than just a few mm's with the ability to also run the biggest/tallest 650B tires. Wouldn't kill them to chime in about that possibility even if a whole new bike is in the works.

    2 - A Ripley HD (150mmish rear travel and with threaded external bb not internal) Something to smash the SC Tallboy LTc and Spesh Enduro 29er
    3 - A HD 160mm 650b
    4 - Update the HD to have internal cable routing
    5 - Some new Ibis clothing, hats, trail riding shirts etc. The current stuff is very roady/xc looking.

    I don't know. Hillharmon might be on to something. I was about to get a turner burner but was advised to wait by a source at ibis.

    But why the mojo hd special blends. Is there a new frame coming?

    Someone from Ibis eh? Was that it on the info?

    I was gonna order the new Banshee Spitfire V2 frame but now the new SC Bronson has me rethinking that a bit. If Ibis is gonna release a new or revised Mojo/HD or even a dedicated rear 650B triangle that could also really mess with my head and complicate an already tough decision.

    If front derailleurs are a thing of the past, and there is seat tube to tire clearance, then the chainstay length on the Ripley might be shorter than it is.

    Frames designed around no front derailleur.
    Note to self: 85% of FTP for 20 min.

    Don't have months to wait (Ibis months can = years). I needed something ASAP to ride so I ordered the Banshee Spitfire frame today and should have it in a week and will be running it 650B. The new Bronson looks really good but I believe the Banshee VPP design is better. Also the price was right for the Banshee frame @ $1800 with Fox CTD Kashima shock.

    It would be very cool to see Ibis pull a new HD out of their hat with the eccentric pivots but it's gonna cost. At the very least they should build a dedicated 650 triangle for the existing HD while at the same time working on a new model.

    I wonder if we'll ever see a long travel bike with the eccentrics. At some point in the travel spectrum the eccentrics would have to be upsized, perhaps to the point of diminishing returns. Those giant cartridge bearings aren't light.....not that my arm chair engineering counts for much.
    I'm still pulling for a light 140mm RiBley to cover the XC to aggressive trail w accessible water bottle end of things, and a Mojo HB for big trails w big wheels.

    My vote goes for a 650b rear triangle for the HD. and possibly jerseys that are more relaxed and with smaller/more discreet logos. I think one of those button-up collared shirts with an Ibis logo embroidered on the left chest would be pretty cool...
