    Weight Weenie Mojo Update

Here is my latest weight weenie work on my Mojo. Its not the final cut I would like to do, perhaps a new wheelset (Stans Olympic), Sram rear derailleur, Sram twist shifters, 2007 XTR cassette and Formula Puro brakes (or Juicy Ultimates) in the future, but I have made a great weight loss program, down 1.25 lbs from its fall weight and almost 2 lbs off its initial summer weight.

Its been a fun winter, I am sure glad the snow melted and let me go out and play again!

Hey, thats a wicked cable routing you got on the front there. That working alright for ya? Is that an I-Link setup? I was thinking of trying them.
A bicycle will take you to fantastic places....if you let it.

Yes, those are the Alligator Cables i-Links. It's a great system. I will have a review over on the 'Save Some Weight' MTBR forum next week.

I don't know for sure about this bike, but I know Ibis ships some frames with the third/middle cable guide now. My early model did not have it.

I use regular cable donuts and it keeps the cable off the frame.

My Mojo came with the middle brake hose mount. Mine is a medium that was one of the first or so lots made for the main customer base, its number 69, so I can't comment on what the new ones look like. I got mine back in early July last year. Call Ibis and ask them. Tom or Hans will answer you and they are always a hoot to talk with anyway.

Thanks for the info Pasta. Your bike is pretty similar to my build. A little here, a little there.

Now put it on a scale and see what it really weighs. I'm not a big weight weenie, but now that I have a bike that's cutting edge, I'm kind of curious.

If you get a chance, try the 07 XTR shifters. They're heavier. But they're quite nice. Just another $400. Ouch!

Edit- Geez, I thought my Apide seat was light. I didn't realize yours was nearly 100 grams less. But I'll say this, for such lethal looking seats, I've never been more comfortable.

Now it looks like my bike is actually heavier than yours. I've got to get to a scale.

Edit number two- Is that a medium frame? Because I just did a google search for that chain, and came up with an mtbr post where you actually posted. Freaky! And I see something about 114 links. I'm running 112 on a medium frame.

Help me! I'm falling into the weight weenie pit.

I have to admit, we're riding extremely light bikes, all things considered. Like more travel than my first dirtbike.
