    Is this wear normal

Opened my lower links today and noticed that the sleeves where the bearing touches has silver rings that is a sign of wear. There is no play YET but im not sure if this will continue to wear and evetually cause the play other members have raised. Attaching pic. Is it still possible to prevent further damage? Upper pic is the driveside, lower pic is the non drive. Bike is upside down. Anybody opened theirs yet?

Looks fine. Just check torque specs on them on occasion. When they get too loose the wear will get worse.
You can ride the bike and have no worries.
It will not fall apart under you.
    Yes, do big hucks.
It will only get worse if you neglect maintenance.

Mine show similar markings, but I think it's just the anodizing (this after 3 years of hard riding, and less-than-perfect maintenance/cleaning). I've replaced the links/bearings once in that time, but only experienced play as a result of worn shock bushings (annual replacement for those). Check w/Ibis to be sure, but like d-bug says I think this is normal.

Got a reply from Todd and said that it looks fine. Thanks as well for your feedbacks. Do you guys put a dab of grease at the sleeves' faces before reinstalling the links? Planning to do that to mine but im worried that it will only attract dirt.

Personally I don't -- just the surface of the shafts themselves -- but I also can't remember what the ibis setup manual says. If you haven't already, definitely download the PDF off the Ibis website since there's some great info in there about torque specs, where to use anti-seize vs Loctite, etc. I think it tells you where to grease also, but I can't recall for sure.
