Undoing Lower Link Bolts on HD

OK, I'm slightly baffled, how do you stop the drive side of the link bolts(nuts) from spinning whenst you have a 5mm hex in the other side. Doesn't look like there is a hex outside of the threaded hole or flat spots for a cone wrench on the outside. What am I missing? Different than the SL

    Hey Trackho,

    Todd from Ibis here.

On the HD lower link we use a threaded shaft that goes into the drive side (so you can install a nut if you want to run a chain guide).

After the threads in the shaft there is a 6mm hex.

All you need is a longer 6mm allen wrench to get past those threads on the drive side and another 6mm allen wrench for the non-drive side.

If you have any other questions feel free to email me...

    Cheers!

From page 39 of the user manual, it says you just:
    Step 4
Next, remove the axle in the lower
link that passes through the front triangle
    with two 6mm Allen wrenches.
This might take some force since we
    use Loctite on this interface.
That is the front lower link axle/bolt combo, not the one on the swingarm, and obviously after having removed the rear wheel, chain, crank, and front derailleur. I've watched my LBS's mech do it once but can't claim to actually *know* how to do it, other than the diagrams in the user manual and just taking a look at it.

Edit: Well, there you go. I should have waited a bit as the Ibis customer support team is right on top of things, as usual!
