Two New Mojos hit the trails on Vancouver Island

We took delivery of our new Mojo Carbons and they have now been on the trails a few times. a night ride and todays' up to the snow level and down. Janes' is Guiness Foam with XT kit, Talas 32, 2.35 Nevegals, 70mm. stem and a high rise Easton bar. She is using her XTR hubs with Mavic 819's and will be selling her unused, 08 XT, Xcountry wheels that came with the bike. Mine is in Carbon clear, XT kit, Talas 36, 2.35 Nevegals,
70mm Blackspire stem with high rise Easton carbon downhill bar. We have been riding 35lb. Geminis. The bikes are amazing. Climbs that I was grannying up are now in middle ring. The DW link just sticks to the ground...little or no bob without needing stable platform. Comfortable cockpits. Stunning to look at. They descend very well and for me the Enduro rig with the Talas 36 is perfect. Running one or two gears lower most everywhere. Mine weighs 28.8lbs and Jane's 28. They are 5.8 and 5.6 lbs lighter than the Geminis, but ride as if they are half the weight.

The 08' XT kit is pretty good. I have always used XT for our riding. No one here uses XTR...the terrain is too hard on light & expensive equipment. Standout XT parts are:
The brakes are amazing and better than my Hope 4 pistons. The shifting is vastly improved. The Enduro QR20 wheelset is very nice and at 2050 grams is a good compromise between weight and durable rims. Well spec'd by the guys at Ibis. bob

OK, OK, I will post photos.

Ok, ok, I will take some shots. We took our camera along on Sunday's ride, but the battery was too low....so next Sunday, and maybe this Thursday night, I will take and post a bunch of Ibis shots and some of our amazing Vancouver Island, West Coast trails...One of the fellows in our group is now buying an Ibis Mojo.....having switched from almost buyin a Heckler once he saw our bikes.

There is no way that the new 08 XT brakes are better than the hope M4s...period. If you think this, your view is coloured by the fact that you have them on a new sweet bike and therefore think the brakes are sweet too. Sorry, but that is factual misdirection there my friend.

You know that the religious mob will be on here soon mounting massive protests that you have insulted the bike gods with this thread and its picture-less formate...
