    New (to me) '93 Ibis

I lucked into this predecessor to the Cousin It about 4 weeks ago, and the wife and I are really enjoying it. Just trips downtown for a beer and dinner so far, but we're getting better and are about ready to add our daughter's tag-along to the rig. It's a 7-speed, with Suntour drivetrain. Original fork and stem, although it also came with an Allsop Flexstem. The paint is beautiful, but you can tell in a couple spots that it spent it's first 12 years on the east coast. Paid $850, FWIW. Seemed very fair to me, although shipping was another $150! Thought it was cool enough to share here, and only wish I were better at taking pics.

Cousin It's went for well over 2 grand when new. Nice find! The color combo was Ibis' team color back then. My Ibis SS is the same color. Don't lose that cable guide in your stem. Not easy to find replacements if you ever want to run canti brakes.

Nice Joe, I would bet there is a good chance that Wes had a hand in building that frame. His orange Ibis was the impetus for ours, although it took years to manifest.

Also saw in another post that Ibis is making a comeback?

A bike by any other name is still a bike.

I have a '93 Ibis SS in Fester Purple as well. I think I'm going to be buried with it...
