Great Captain America theme on the bike, or perhaps it is a Puerto Rico theme. Either way it is very cool.

Thanks, its a Puerto Rico theme. The cool thing is I can change the colors when I get sick of this one as my buddy, who made this, saved the stencils on his computer.

What issues has the C-Guide been giving you? Also, what Carbon rims are you running? There's a chinese carbon rims thread I've been following. would those happen to be the ones?

    Finally Post Worthy

I have had the bike since late August and I have been tweaking, fiddling, and adjusting since then. I built this up with some parts from my old bike (Transition Syren) and some new kit to make it go. I am super happy with the way this bike rides. It really digs in on the climbs and descends like a dream. My build is as follows:

Frame: Mojo HD Med - Black
Shock: Rock Shox Monarch Plus RC3 M/L - HV Can
    Fork: Lyrik U-turn rebuild
    Stem: FSA 75mm
    Headset: Cane Creek ZS44/EC49
    Handlebar: Sunline V1 OS
    Grips: ruffian
    Shifter-Front: SRAM X9-2011
    Shifter-Rear: XT M780
    Brakes: Hope M4
    Seatpost: KS Lev 125
    Saddle: Saddle Vader
    Cranks: Gravity Light 170mm
    Chainrings: Shimano SLX 24/32
    Bash Guard: Blackspire
    Derailleur-Front: XT FD 786
    Chain: KMC DX 10sc
    Cassette: SRAM PG-1030 11-36
    Derailleur-Rear: SLX Shaddow Plus
Wheel-Rear: King 142x12 laced to WTB FR - Ghetto Tubeless
Wheel-Front: Hope 20mm laced to WTB FR - Ghetto Tubeless
Tires: Schwalbe Fat Albert (f) Maxxis Minion DHF (r)

just a quick question about the xtr crank i just wondered how it was working out for you with the 38/26 combo does it shift well etc i only ask because on the ibis website it says not compatabl and this is kind of what im after for my 2012 mojo hd

i cant post the link as i havent posted before but its on the ibis website set up guide page 13
I'm in the same boat. Just ordered my 2012 Med White and want to run XTR 2x10. But Ibis says I need to run 3x10. Guess I can run 24-32-bash but can I really run a 2x10? I'm building it to be more of an AM since there's lots of climbing I do as well as DH.

Are they the light bicycles rims you're running? Been looking at them and they look great, how long have you been using them and how hard have they been ridden? I'm guessing by your build pretty damn hard!

The wheels have been great. I have about 250 miles on them and have had no issues. Did some lift assist a couple months back on them and pushed them hard through a rock garden for three runs and had no issues. I was on my DH bike most of the day but brought the HD just to get some rides on it too. My friend riding with me was on his Remedy and got a tennis ball size dent on his downtube from the same rock garden on one our runs. The Remedy's have thin downtubes to begin with but it was his first dent on this downtube from a couple years of riding his bike.

Its a 2011 (new ibis costs a lot around here, 5700 USD for XT build without mods) demo bike from my local ibis dealer, got it for 3700USD, had some minor scratches and no kashima, but you have to make compromises

weight of the bike was 14.190KG with all the above (ready to go).

anyone has any idea where can i get 0.5 KG off the bike without hurting the performance too much? (was thinking pedals [500g for pair of these] and maybe tiers, but im not really an expert on tiers so i have no clue which to pick)
    Hi to you !
You said it "cost a lot around here" where are you living ?
    Really 14.19kgs ?
Mine's 13.15 with light tires, then 13.6 with heavy ones like yours ... but nothing ultra light ?

I had say, change tires, the stem perhaps, the bars ... & throw away the big pile-up under the stem ... but only a few grams.

    A pic of mine.

If what you call tiers is SPD pedals .... the choice is very large !

I'm on Shimano XT PDM 785, works great, light, not too expensive. Happy with it.

duh, my bad, meant Tires lol
i like riding flats, tried SPD but never managed to get the hang of it.

First off loving the B&W theme on yours, great look.
Im from Israel, and yeah, weight at the shop was 14.190.. i dont really know why. maybe fox has been feeding my shocks too much? how do they compare to the BOS?
im guessing the reverb (0.5kg) adds a bit more compared to the gravity dropper?

    thanks for the replys!

Nope ... I just changed for a Reverse recently and XT brakes, no weight added nor removed.

I just never used the Fox shock, but a few friends of mine were just amazed when changing from Fox to Bos, however depending of the use you make of your bike, the terrain you ride etc ...
But Bos suspensions are WAY above those Talas things ...

If you're from Israėl you should get in touch with the guy who made some headset to modify the head angle.
I personaly use a Works Components -1.5° but I know your countryman does nice things too !

    Ofanaim.net » Head Angle Set

Then you could probably go for a medium cage rear derailleur, just a bit lighter ... shorter chain.
Using a dropper post, the QR on the seatpost is totally useless ...
    Lighter pedals !...
Little things added should do a difference.

Usually it's just small parts adding up - like stem/handlebar, tubes, rear casette, headset, derailleurs etc. My Mojo HD (photo pending ) is also around 14,2 kg with air shock, coil fork, Reverb and 1x10 drivetrain. I have plans to drop some weight with Fox 36 Float 160 mm and perhaps carbon handlebar. But with a very potent frame like the Mojo HD I think there's no point in loosing weight on tires, because lightweight tires will be to weak for the riding the Mojo HD is capable of, especially when you say you need strong wheels.

Maybe it's obvious Just list all your parts in Excel, add real weights and try to compare with the parts that you could have - you will see, where you can gain most weight.

    Thanks, ill check that out.

looking at the tires a bit more, my front tire is 940g and my rear is 900g [based on maxxis own site] looking up the scwallbe tires you are running (they got alot of version for each tire, im really lost here ) i noticed they are around 600g both, is that is half a kilo right there without messing with anything but rubber (cheap!)
could you give me the exact models you are running on the heavy duty wheelset? thanks!
P.S, i weight around 70KG (150LBS) with riding gear on, so i guess i can get away with light wheels.

to be honest, coming off a 16.7kg bike to a 14.2 was a big difference, so cant say that 14.2 is heavy for me but if it can be even lower than that, without hurting performance, im up for that.

    I'm 72kgs naked, a Dher ... ex-MXer but an old one
Those are my lights wheels for around home, for harder terrain (in the Alps or so) I ride Mavic Crossmax SX (but the ST could make it) with :
Maxxis Crossmark 2.25 LUST on rear
Maxxis High Roller 2 2.40 Exo on front (not an UST tire but used as is with no problem)

Lighter than yours, good rolling on the rear, and excellent grip up front !

I am running 2x10 XTR on my setup no problem. I do not have the direct mount FD. My understanding was that for DM you just have to run an SLX FD.

The 40/28 xtr race is compatible, as per Set-Up Guide | Support | Ibis Cycles US I chose the 3 ring because I use lower gearing quite a bit especially with the larger 650b wheels.

Ed's wheels are are lot lighter. I have found that the ZTR Flows or Hope and Flows come out at just under 2kg unless you get upgraded spokes. I have Easton Havoc that are at least 1/2 lb (200gms lighter) but I stuff it up with a set of coil Marzocchis!
