    Faghedaboutit!

Tell me about it, I'm not sure I will ever own another bike! This is just one way of doing it. It wears so many hats and wears them well.

    2012 Ibis Mojo HD

New to the forum and Ibis family. Been lurking around here for a while. I waited a month and a half for the frame. Finally finished building her up this morning. Enjoy!

Beautiful! How is that RC4 shock working? You didn't want to put a Van on the front too?
I just changed to a short cage rear der, works great and looks fine :-) Try a one when the old one is done.

I love the float but would love to try the van... I am thinking of selling the Xtr and getting the new saint.

Rc4 is butter.. Feels so much better than air... I am thinking of getting it pushed

    NICE bike!

I'm thinking about converting my '12 Talas to a float also, but what is the difference your noticing or wanted from the push work?

    Thanks.

    Couple things:
    1. I wasn't really using the Talas settings

    2. After the conversion and tuning, the fork is WAY more plush. Small bump sensitivity was incredibly enhanced and noticeable. It tracks much better on the trail in corners now. It just feels much much smoother and less stiction.

I think a lot of the improvement came from the overall tuning and fluid changes. Not sure if I could confidently say that the performance increase was directly related to removing the Talas cartridge. My fork was basically brand new, but I had heard that Fox wasn't putting enough oil in the forks so I figured I'd let the guys at Push do their thing. They were really helpful when I called to discuss different options.

If you're using the Talas feature regularly, maybe just start with an overhaul/fluid change. If not, I'd remove the Talas feature as it has about 30 seals (i.e. possible points of failure) and go with the Float.
