    Mojo HD at MBO

Some video from my trip to Mountain bike Oregon - absolutly awesome time

Edited 6 minute video of a few of trails I rode on saturday

Raw footage from the Larison Rock downhill. This was the run that ended right a camp and had shuttles - a 15 minute roller coaster through the thick pacific northwest forrest.

I love MBO! I'm not going this year, but have had such a great time there for about 4 years. I actually blew two sets of brakes on Larrison, and my friends still give me sh!t about it. I'd love to take my new Mojo HD down there now! Thanks for posting the vids!

Road trip this week to Mammoth, Downieville and Santa Cruz

    Dville

90% of the bikes in Dville were HD's and Nomads

    They go uphill too

    Santa Cruz Demo Forest

That is it for now. Got a new camera for this trip which worked well, but still figuring out the shutter speeds as you can tell.

Amazing how versatile these bikes are. Went from the Park on Monday to 3600' of climbing on Friday without changing a single part. Unbelievable.

Mojo HD - ultimate marathon race bike :-)

A photo from our local bike marathon race. Mojo HD proved to be really a do it all bike. I didn't even think of touching a ProPedal lever

Poor view, moderate action, fantastic trails and landscape at the Aletsch glacier in Valais cantony of Switzerland. We didn't take photos though on the black'n'wet downhill down to Fiesch, which was a lot of fun!

This is steeper than it looks. And yes, my 180 Talas needed pressure:

    Rare moment with a view:

    Yep thats the spot mate.

Really enjoying the Ibis so far, haven't had it for long but so far very happy with it. I chose to go with the HD140 for a couple reasons and am happy with my decision. I also ride with 2 other mates who ride HD160s and they love their bikes and have had them for close to a year now.

I don't ride at Woodhill much but will be there this Saturday from 9:30am, come and say hello if you are out. You will easily recognise my bike with the polished up Flow rims.

NO pics, just visualise using the spoken word....

recently added a single offset bushing to my HD, already fitted with CC angleset
reckon the head angle is not much above 65* now

running 2.35 DH Larsen rear tyre, no issues with the tyre hitting the seat tube that i've noticed

it slides corners now like a teenager in a Nissan Skyline GTR!!

great fun, just did the biggest brakeless broadside to recovery i can remember in a long time

    other recent upgrades
fitted a 2.4 Highroller II, heaps of traction, didn't realise how bagged out my old 2.35 HR was
    latest model XT brakes, awesome!

i don't usually keep bikes over 12 months, i've had the HD for about 18 months now, love it.

    quick spec overview
HD meduim, 160mm Float, cc angleset for tapered steerer, Fox RP23 HV with ghetto shim kit and front offset bushing,
single 36t/11-36 10 speed, X9/X9, XTservo wave brakes,
Reverb, 760mm diety bars with 50mm Thomson stem,
Lopes guide, EX1750's, RF Sixx cranks, 2.4 Highroller II front, 2.35 Larsen rear, both ghetto tubeless

set up pretty soft for maximum hooning

i couldn't tell you exactly. i changed the front bushing, offset by 2.5mm max
working on some VERY basic principles-
working on the leverage ration of being jabout 2.5 to 1 that means it sucks the rear wheel up by about 6-7mm
whichwill be about 2mm at the BB and maybe -1/4 degree at the head angle

it doesn't sound like much but it does make a noticeable differance

combined with the angleset whch 'those in the know' calculate to give -1.2 degrees on a medium frame i've probably sackened it of by almost 1.5 degrees from the original 67 degrees

the bike does slide corners differently now, maybe actually running a decent front tyres has hepled too!!

give it a try, they are cheap anyway and take 5 minutes to install

Not the greatest action shots but it's the only ones I have. I've had a blast riding my new HD160 650b machine this year! So much fun It's hard to stop and take pictures..

Ive been looking on and off at an HD for sometime and also a SC TRc?

I got to have a quick spin on the dirt on 2 different build HDs both large frames yesterday and was impressed, size wise they were a perfect fit especially the cockpit setup that was similar to mine short stem wide bars.

The reason I haven' committed yet is I love both bikes, I know they are different, my riding and my local trails suit either, I know I can get away with less travel most of the time and 90% of my riding is local, I go pretty big but smooth.

What really attracts me to the HD is it's versatility 140mm/160mm with flip chips and shock change, If I went HD Id setup both options love to get into Enduros but its pretty rare here at the moment and our courses are still way to XC biased, hopefully that will change, I need to be able to climb as well as others or better especially on fire roads yuk but nessecary evil.

    Hence the TRc?

So if anyone has had both frames, not worried about VPP vs DWL I like both, had both,

Currently ride a EVO stumpy unfortunately it"s just to long in the large so I struggle in some cornering situations even with a 40mm stem but I do like the bike though and medium is too small for me.

Also are they're any changes for 2013 to the HD?

    Cheers for any feedback.
    Maverick,
You should start a separate thread with your question as this is a thread for "Action shots" for HD owners.

Also, note that if you're posting in the IBIS forum asking about which bike to buy you're likely to get biased feedback.

Had Push convert my Talas to a Float as well as work their magic. It feels great! Small bump sensitivity is much better after the tune (way less stiction).

You were laying that bike DOWN yesterday. There were a couple more where you were really flat! I think the water bottle adds about 1000% to the cool factor as well

The water bottle makes it for sure. But look how cool and breezy I look without the pack on! A few were flatter, but I got beat with the ugly stick in those, complete with tongue sticking out. Thanks for taking pics out there with your sweet phone - we'll catch you in the air next time.

Need to re-shoot this. Angle on this sequence doesn't do the drop justice. 7ft up, 6ft out.

    Wow, four amazing pictures.

@salespunk: In the first picture, did you ride that spot out? From the lifted rear wheel, the squeezed position of the front wheel and the full travel fork I fear you didn't!?

@JoeBMX: Yes, please re-shoot. Not that this sequence isn't impressing enough, we just love your photos anyway.

Yep rode it out, The fork did "almost" bottom out. If you run a 36 you know how hard it is to do that!

Should also have some more pics next week. Hopefully some good chunk shots

Yes, it is an optical illusion. Still a fairly stiff transition as you can tell by the compression on the fork.

Just made this. Not all the bikes are HD's, but who's complaining about a crash compilation? Huge thanks to forum member and HD rider, RB for involuntarily contributing all his stacks in front of me

Be sure I never said it was not !

Eventually try something else than a Fox fork.
