One of Rhode Island's abbreviated DH runs at a place we have been building lately, nothing crazy but lots of fun!

    HD is in front.

New Easton Havoc 35 stem and Havoc 35 bar. The handlebar's diameter is 35mm rather than the usual 31.8mm. It seems the stem will only be available in a 50mm length at first, and the bars are 800mm. Although it isn't green, they do have a Havoc 35 carbon bar...drool...

And since this is the HD action thread, here is another frame grab below, taken in the hills above Laguna earlier this month, cool stepdown gap near Telonics. Lopes in front, ACC on the landing, me at takeoff.

Nice! If I were to attempt riding with Lopes, I would see him at most twice--once when starting off, and maybe another time, depending on my state of consciousness, when he came back to help Medevac me off of the trail.

Yes, the entire time riding with them I was so excited, it was wild. Yes, I'm literally eating dust...but it's THEIR dust! Anyways, I'll get back to work on my video from that trip, it'll be more interesting to see that than hearing me gush about how rad those two are.

Hey Dub82 - is than an XFusion Vengeance fork you are rocking on the HD? What year? What are your thoughts? I've been looking at that fork to replace my 2011 160 Talas, which has suffered from stiction issues and overall harshness from day 1.

Convert that TALAS to a Float. It's pretty simple and cheap. I did one for $68 (a 32 talas), parts came direct from Fox.

Ditto. My 2011 160 Talas was garbage - harsh and stiction galore. Had it serviced, seals upgraded, etc. to no avail. Converted it to a Float and it's good. Still not as smooth as the 32 Float though.

It appears that the Ibis factory team bikes are X-Fusion equipped for 2012. ACC and Dub82 have X-Fusion air versions front and rear for their SL-R's and HD's(Vengence). Brian uses the coil version on front of the HD.

I purchased a Vector HLR air with DW-link tune through CalCoast Bikes in San Diego and like it, and other friends I know have the Vengence fork and rave about the quality.

Thanks for the advice. Just ordered up the conversion parts, plus new seals and a quart of fluid, direct from Fox. Came to $138 + shipping, but the parts won't be in until the end of the month.

Yes, I have the 2012 X Fusion Vengeance HLR, 170mm. Vector Air RC in back. Super psyched on both, but I'm also curious to check out/compare the Vengeance coil for good measure. I also think stepping to the Vector HLR is probably in my future, as it has greater range of adjustment (high/low speed compression, bottom out adjustment, etc...)

Honestly, I'm a set it and forget it guy when it comes to suspension- and most things on my bike. I tend to run a little lower air pressure and faster rebound/ less compression damping than some factory set ups, but overall I think the X-Fusion stuff is completely on par with the Fox gear I was running last year (180 Talas, Kashima).

Sorry for the hijack! Dope night shot, Torwood! The Vitamin P looks awesome in the dark.

Yea, when I saw this video last year, I had to go.

Only just now got around to putting footage together, but it's not nearly as nicely done as almost spring as we were focusing more on riding than filming.

Jackson Hole is an amazing place.

Found this nice edit on another website. The rider definitely has some skill and the video showcases the Mojo HD nicely too.

Nice video, but I feel sorry for his back wheel. That guy likes to land sideways!

Looks Awesome, moving out to Colorado springs in a few weeks so Im not too far to check that out! how did the X fusion shock handle those drops? I am looking to upgrade my current Rp23 and on the fence with so many choices.

Feels like there are a lot of folks wanting to expand beyond the RP23 this year. FWIW, I still really like my RP23. Works great for the shorter descents. I've experienced the hangup with longer descents though. Ideally, I'd love to have an RP23 for 140 mode, and something along the lines of a tuned Monarch Plus for the 160 mode. Mtn biking is $$$

Pretty sweet flowy trail right there. Is that somewhere in Socal? There must be more where that came from? Teaser right?

I'm sure someone much more knowledgeable will chime in, but I was thinking the same thing...It looked like it may have been Whiting Ranch in South OC, CA.

Spot on, Makoto! That area was really cool. A beautiful little oasis. I wish we had Live Oak trees here in Wyoming...

It is also a well used trail system and we saw a lot of other people out there. Lots of blingy bikes, LOTS of Mojos of all types, trail runners, strava, etc. Plenty of confused looks in the direction of the cable cams that the guys were setting up.

Iceman, there will be more edits coming out from Ibis.

Man, my friends and I all have so many HD's (there is seriously like 10 of us with them), I keep telling them we need to do a video like this with just a big Mojo train.

Nice job Dub and crew, as always.

    Trail Fairies

Night Mojo HD is so fast, it's difficult to capture on film...

Old buzzard ascending isn't so difficult tho

It was my first (and brief) ride on the new 2013 Fox 34 Float 160 CTD etc forks. Been waiting for the trails to dry after recent rain to check em out, couldn't wait any longer.

With the shortest (least daylight) day just past down here in oz it's a great time of the year for night rides, love em!

Will post a review this week after a few good rides. Fwiw first impressions are good - supple, and doesn't have the dreadful flex that makes the front of the bike feel ordinary. Have ridden a couple of forks like that.

Trying a new camera angle on a local trail. I'm the rider following the camera on my HD. The trail is fast and flowy with just enough rocks to keep you on your toes.
