The bottom bracket for the SL is a standard BSA threaded 68mm. Your cranks must work with that BB.

So the 170mm, 175mm options I'm seeing are the length of the crank arms?

Do the 175's unless you're a really small person.

I'm 5'5, would the 170mm be better? Is .1 of an inch really gonna make that big of a difference?

Jenson has a sweet deal on the 175 but don't have the 170's.

    Bike is size small.

    Trap,
There are many theories, but the truth does not matter much if you use 170 or 175mm, buy sweet deal

Blue Sky Cycling also has a sweet deal on some 170mm XT's. Ordered some for my wife last night. She's 5'2" and doesn't like my 175s. IMO you'd be happier with 170s but probably would be fine with the 175 as well.

How do I measure my current crank arms? Is it from the center of the pedal to the center of the crank or is it end to end?
