    Lopes Airlines

Does this mean the Mojo also qualifies for Freeride?

Not necessarily. It simply means Lopes is a pretty darn smoooth rider! And in the hands of a capable rider any bike (read: rider) can do amazing things.

Unless the Mojo is indeed The Holy Grail then that changes everything.

Regardless, I don't think Ibis should market it as a freeride or downhill bike just because Lopes can do great things on it. Keep it real. The Mojo is an awesome bike. Don't make it what it is not.

Yup.....that pix is not so different that Chumba's homepage: http://www.chumbaracing.com/ Doesn't mean it's a freeride bike. I would bet that most pro riders could do those jumps on an "XC" bike or a much less "capable" bike. The bike may not last very long but I bet they could do it at least once.

That's a nice sequence pic (on an XCL nonetheless). Though they claim it's the bike not the rider. I guess people get it confused all the time.

    Rider Credit

    It's the rider, no doubt!

Distantly related story: If I remember it correctly... I saw John Tomac hopping on the rear wheel into the back of a pick up truck turn it around and hop back out. On his road racing bike.
This was between races at the Olympic Trials way back 1988.

and i'd be in a crumpled heap somewhere in the middle I expect

John Tomac is not human, so this road bike news makes perfect sense to me...

Haha, so is BL. I see him riding Aliso Woods/Laguna from time to time and he makes it look super easy.

At least they mention the rider but you know the "real" message is "buy this bike and you can do THIS!".

I am still scared to get more then a couple of feet of the ground!

    I'm a god. I'm not *the* God... I don't think.
