Looking for Mojo Carbon rear triangle

My 2008 Mojo Carbon needs a new rear triangle, but Ibis apparently doesn't supply them anymore. Unless I can find an old (but decent) one somewhere, I'll have to replace my entire frame with a new Mojo SL (which I'll have to pay for, as I'm not the original owner). I know it's a long shot, but does anyone know of someplace where I might find a compatible salvage rear triangle? I'm not fussy about color.

    Thanks!

Ibis doesn't have an SL rear triangle? They are the same.

Yeah, I'd wondered about that too. My local Ibis dealer told me that Ibis told THEM that they don't supply the rear triangle on its own. I'm not sure if they were referring to the original version or the SL (which as you pointed out, are the same). I've emailed Ibis directly, so hopefully they can shed some light.

I'm pretty sure that either the SL or the SL-R rear end would technically work (except for the axle on the SLR rear), and I'm also almost sure that if Ibis has them in stock they'd be willing to sell you one.

That said, if you're not the original owner I'm not sure how that works...

sounds like your local ibis dealer might be trying to sell you a new bike.

please update this thread when you hear back from ibis directly. I'm still on an old mojo as well. Seems weird that they'd be out of SL rear tri's..

It turns out that there was a misunderstanding somewhere along the line, and Ibis IS in fact able to supply a new rear triangle.

And for future reference, you can always have it repaired if it comes to that...

Carbon fiber is very, very repairable. Arguably easier then other frame materials in the right hands.

There are a number of high quality repair shops in the USA, including Calfee and Ruckus Composites.

Like any kind of frame repair, costs will vary but the quotes I've heard in the past were pretty reasonable especially when other options are exhausted.

I'm almost looking forward to the day when my oversized 650b rear wheel wears right through my SL rear triangle so I can replace it with the SL-R thru axle version..... some expenditures are easier to get spousal approval on than others

.... and while a new bike is in my future, I won't be letting go of the SL... I've got a 16 yr old grommet of a son who's made it very clear that the SL is his when I'm done with it.... if not for that I would have already had it up for sale to fund a new HD-R
