    Late 90s Ibis Alibi

Got this nice-looking late 90s aluminum Ibis mtb frame from a friend. Never used. Looks like a lot of fun to build up. I think it's a 16" frame. Set up for rear V-brake. It looks like the back is spaced for a 135mm rear hub.

Anyone have experience with this frame or suggestions on what type of setup to put on it?

    All my bikes are On-Ones -- 26ers and 29er -- but I couldn't pass this one up.

That should build up a nice ride. I believe most of those were designed around a 65mm-80mm fork. That's what I run on mine. Better check with Scot, I'm sure he'll have the answer.

That looks like a great candidate for a retro build. Should be easy to source XT stuff in pretty good shape from the era. Forks from that time shouldn't be too hard to source and keep running.

Alternately, you could do an all new kit on it and have a agile, light 2x10 HT to ride.

I like the retro idea! Anyone know any websites that would show retro components?

I have two Alibi's but I think I need over ten posts in order to post pics.

Tried to post a pic again, says I need 10 posts, which means 8 more.
